I assume you're taking about the mechanical legs on his back? How is that a spoiler? The Iron Spider suit had them in the comics and even the recently-revealed Hot Toys version does as well.

The comic book Iron Spider suit looks a lot different than the suit in Infinity War so I don't think most people were expecting it was going to have the limbs. Diamond spoiled it anyway back around Toyfair.

Dolemite 04-26-2018 06:05 AM

Spoilers are rough, dude. I've actually gone on a social media blackout for the past couple of days leading up to Infinity War this Friday because I heard assholes we're spoiling the entire movie...I'm sure Iron Spider's legs will be the least spoilerific thing. :)

I've muted all the appropriate words & hashtags on my personal twitter account and that's been doing a good job. I haven't seen anything yet.

I see what you did there. ;)

ddarko 04-26-2018 07:33 PM

Oh wow, you guys are really hardcore about spoilers :)! I usually just search for them as soon as the premier happens. In recent times, I have gotten used to just skipping movies if the spoilers don't prove interesting :D

On another note, this Thanos figure has a very funny looking face!

No idea what you mean by 'incomplete'. That's an accurate reproduction of the look Thanos has through most of the movie, and with the exception of Gamora's double-bladed dagger (which is more suited as an accessory for Gamora herself anyway) I find nothing lacking about the toy. If this is about the 'no normal left hand' thing, I implore you to find one scene in Infinity War in which he isn't wearing the damn thing.

ronriii 04-27-2018 05:36 AM

Incomplete? Isn't this pretty much his main look in the film?

Funny that you would leave out what's missing like "no big deal". This is the BAF to the biggest movie of the year you would think we could get that accessory. Same thing with Spider-Man why even make it, yeah i mean he looks like that for most of the MOVIE BUT... ridiculous

I wasn't being sarcastic, I was genuinely asking: what's incomplete about it that you would have added? I'm curious because I was contemplating about getting the figure but your comments make it sound like he's missing something really essential.

If you want to know this is the spoiler trailer you need to watch.

He doesn't wear the armor for more than 10 minutes in the film, so if that's what's you're referring I don't see how that'd be considered incomplete as this is his main look.

Harbinger 04-28-2018 12:58 PM

Without his armor he looks like a bald purple smurf larry the cable guy.

I can understand Destro's complaints if he had only seen that trailer and not the movie itself, and his Thanos BAF review was posted before the movie was even released so he'd have no way of knowing. But having seen Infinity War myself last night, the way the BAF looks IS exactly how Thanos looks for literally 99% of the movie. The armor is only seen in the very beginning for five minutes and again during a brief flashback sequence...he ditches it during the opening scene once he obtains the second Infinity Stone simply because he's now so powerful that he doesn't need it's protection anymore.

Personally, I'm more upset that he doesn't come with a different accessory- the Thanoscoptor!

Wish they gave him an extra gauntlet in a specific gesture position.... no spoilers.

There's always the rerelease :P

But yeah, that would have been awesome.

Thanks for the heads up but I'm sticking to my guns. It's in the movie and part of the character and should be included. I should have the option to remove the armor myself. The look of no helmet Thanos is weak and makes the figure look incomplete and not as good as it could have been. Don't worry tho Hasbro will be glad to make the same figure with armor soon enough, also weak sauce.

What's the excuse for Spider-Man missing parts and Cap as well? These figures are incomplete. The only thing I can think of is the Studio didn't trust Hasbro enough to show them complete Movie looks before the release of the movie and that's a problem on it's own. If you want us to buy figures make them complete the first time around or wait to put them out.

Because that's how Destro referred to them, and since they don't appear in any of the trailers they technically are spoilers.

And some people in the collector/comic nerd community can be especially sensitive. I could say something completely obviously false like "sure was awesome when Cable came out and shot Thanos in the head", and there would still be someone around here that would freak the hell out because I was talking about the movie.

Well that might not be a trust issue, just unintended consequences of the turn around time for needing to get the merchandise on the shelf before the movie. Hasbro had to start working on these over a year ago, while the final cut of the movie thanks to digital technology allows film makers to still make changes within weeks of the films release. So usually there isn't enough time to go back and make sure Cap has two gloves on instead of the one.

But with Thanos, since there are some younger kids figures of Thanos with the armor, I think the Legend didn't come with extra armor pieces solely because his figure is a BAF and for the sake of budget and distributing those pieces across the wave they kept it simple. (Plus like others have said, the BAF is exactly the way Thanos looked throughout 99% of the movie, so while disappointing it is forgivable this time).

Dolemite 04-30-2018 03:15 PM

I'm shocked that more people are not up in arms about no Thanoscoptor.

The best figure of the wave by far Proxima Midnight!

I agree, proxima is my top fig of the thanos the cable guy wave. Taskmaster and songbird vie for the number two spot.

lordjubilus 04-30-2018 06:43 PM

the figure is good but her face is not quite acurate with what was show in the movie
