$95 for Zangief? pfff... Storm is smoking some seriously strong herb! Something like that should be $75 as well, and that's generous IMHO.

I'll wait for SDCC to see if they tease more original MK figures. I really want the core 7. If they have all of them in development, I MIGHT slowly wander back. Sub and Scorp really are nice figures. Goro looks good... might have to sit down and ponder it...

Kitana/Mileena/Jade klassic costume was shown a few months ago. Shiva might be awhile.

Zangief dwarfs Shao Kahn. His arms are thicker than Kahn's thighs and his thighs almost as thick as Kahns waist. He comes with three heads, effects and a stand. Kahn has a hammer, an extra head and a throne made of "dog toy" type hollow plastic (it looks good but there's no denying that it's cheap). Street fighter may also have higher licensing costs. Lastly, it appears that Goro uses a a good chunk of the same parts as Shao Kahn (upper torso, arms, legs and crotch) and i imagine will be repainted and slightly modified to create Kintaro for a 2019/2020 release.

This is definitely not the case for Goro. Also Shao Kahn was MKII. None of these have been MKX.

Yeah, everything ninja wise has basically been the MK9 Klassic costumes while Kahn being MK2. This Goro is straight out of MK1 with the ying/yang belt.

That's not a screen shot from the main game. That's from the Mortal Kombat mobile game, where they made a Klassic skin available based on...Mortal Kombat 1.

Exactly. Just like the ninjas. Based on the X Klassic costumes, not the actual mk1 costumes. Mk1 goro is running around in a banana hammock, buttcheeks exposed, with a ginormously thick neck, slanted eye brows, etc.

This Goro has on a pair of tighties, thinner neck, more body-Builder proportions. Looks nothing like the lump of modeling clay that was mk1 Goro.

It still really doesn't resemble the likeness of the MK Mobile game tho. Not in the portrait, not with the wrist bands. It's a stylized take on the classic Goro design that looks more like the old comic style than either of the game versions.

Whether they are using that as their base is irrelevant to me. I'm not even sure why it's a point of contention, honestly. This is a Mortal Kombat 1 style Goro, and that's all that matters to me.

And he's up on BBTS now. $94 with $4 shipping. a lot better than the $30 shipping from Storm directly. But like Kahn I imagine there will be a massive delay on getting him... oh well- can't justify an extra $20 just to get him a bit earlier...

I was all set to order him yesterday then stopped short at that shipping? DAFUQ? ...and you know there is going to be a crazy delay in them getting the orders out to BBTS like they did with Kahn... but I just can't do shipping that is 1/3 of the dang toy.

Storm isn't a U.S. based company though. So anything coming from their store is coming from Hong Kong directly, not from a U.S. distribution center.

There still has to be a better way to get it shipped. Even the KO ebay junk for China gets here with little to no shipping cost on the buyers end.

Wait for the official U.S. release I guess. Comparing a legit business to shady KO dealers on ebay isn't quite fair.

That's actually still MK9 Goro's look but without the belt sash/flap.

This is Goro's MKX costume, not that it really matters since we've well established that the toy is based on his classic design.
