yea I didn't think so.. seems too deep for a billy too. hmmm.. preordered for now. Also like the night city better.
Any news or updates on this release??
I have mine pre-ordered through bbts and they say 1st quarter release.
this im gonna get at some point. it acts like a 2 job item. one as a Shelf and the other as a dio so thats good (not into Detolfs)
And of course no international shipping offered through their Amazon store. How predictable...
Nice, but too expensive for something that's fairly limited in terms of display options. But again, it's nice.

Seriously, though, I feel for ya, dude. I wish NECA would find a way to provide shipping options to my toy-collecting brothers and sisters overseas... |
I'll have to hope it will still be available later on this year.

So does this regular release include the nightscape background too? or just the day one? I've only seen the day one in the promo pics (BBTS) but their eBay listings shows it with a nightscape and a day time one. Can anyone confirm?

nice! I contacted NECA and they told me that as well. That's awesome, don't know why original promo pics don't show this. Main reason i was hesitant to buy the regular release is that I rather have the nightscape.
I was hoping the regular release would be the lighter color one shown awhile ago. I really liked how it looked with the toon turtles.

I picked up my street scene diorama from Dorkside today. Overall, I have mixed feelings about the set.
Pros:
Cons:
Yes, I only have one complaint but it's a doozy. It was alarming to see how much of my display had to be taken down just to find a space for this set. I may play around with separating the upper and lower building levels so that they can be two separate display pieces but that's a project for earlier in the day. I kinda wish that Neca had designed and sold this set in smaller pieces so that everyone could build a diorama that was the right size for their collection or display space. Ultimately, I've been wanting a building/rooftop diorama and the this set certainly delivers that. But it feels so overwhelmingly big, especially since I have limited display space at the moment. |
really? how tall and how wide is it then ^^^
Its about 26 inches wide and approx 28 inches tall with the back drop, around 18 high if you leave it off.
I have the TMNT exclusive set and didn't set it up until last night. I now adore this set and decided to buy the regular retail release when I saw it for 15% off here: https://www.atomicempire.com/Item/255107 I will use the TMNT exclusive set for the TMNT figures, both movie and comic sets. The retail release will be next to my Ghostbusters firehouse diorama from DST. It works really well with that line. When you consider that it basically acts as a 3 tier riser that also happens to be a street scene the size isn't all that crazy. It just depends on what your collection is and whether or not they fit with the theme. It is said this can fit 30 figures and I believe it 100%. |
Gah, want this soooooo bad...I just know I won't have the space for it.
if its that big, this sounds like a good wall piece. im a fan of wall shelves so this could work for my Collection set up....
