She definitely looks nice. I know these won't be near the quality of figma, but I do hope they at least have smooth joints and a solid range of motion for posing.

At BlizzCon, Hasbro announced Mercy as the first reveal from an Overwatch two-pack. As for Pharah, I'd love her, but I don't see Hasbro dropping their infamous male:female figure ratio for two-packs. It took years to get an all female set of Marvel Legends, and even then it turned out be a somewhat hard to find exclusive.

Wow, nice! Definitely interested in more! Thanks!

True, but given that the cast is almost a full 50/50 split of male and female characters, the typical male:female figure ratio won't hold up for long.

pikajew 11-04-2018 10:04 AM

And Hasbro continues the trend of not giving females good elbow joints. Looks great otherwise but this is still disappointing

En Sabah Nerd 11-04-2018 11:57 AM

I just hope the line isn't nothing but two packs and that the pairing choices for the two packs are sensible. For example, Junkrat being sold with anyone other than Roadhog would be stupid unless both are solo releases.

Maverick 11-04-2018 01:44 PM

If they just do just 2 packs its gonna be popular with a lesser character. Id be ok with it if that's what they feel they need to do to get the whole roster to sell.

Where the heck are you ordering your figma from? Reaper is on pre-order for 58 right now... If you say bbts you're asking to be scalped, lol

combine929 11-04-2018 07:11 PM

i hope hasbro can make a transformable bastion

MeLikeJinx 11-04-2018 07:27 PM

I don't mind 2 packs since I pretty much like everyone in OW anyway... except Symmetra, Torb, Winston and Doomfist. My top 3 fav are Mei, Ana and Zarya. A 2 pack with Ashe and Bob would be pretty cool IMO.

Same. I don't know overwatch but I like some of the character designs. I don't want to have to buy the mech gorilla to get the robo ninja, or get the pig thing just because he's in a two pack with cool cowboy dude.

Unless Hasbro designates who goes together by pulling names out of a hat then none of the characters you mentioned directly go together so putting them together in one box would be random. Thinking back on recent Star Wars and Marvel two packs Hasbro usually does a solid job of matching figures in a sensible fashion, except for that Black Panther pack where they put Killmonger and Ross together. This gets back to my main hope that the line is primarily composed of single figures released in waves with deluxe larger figures and some two packs sprinkled in.

Are you freaking kidding me?!?!?

I was finally DONE with Blizzard after decades of abuse and neglect, finally able to ride myself of the stockholm syndrome, and after an entire weekend of crapping on the company for a terrible Blizzcon... now this?

Just when I think I'm out... THEY PULL ME BACK IN.

The paint work on her face is fantastic

Brownfinger 11-09-2018 06:30 PM

You scrumptious little beauty.
Well done, Hasbro. Transforming Bastion figure when?

MeLikeJinx 11-09-2018 06:53 PM

I bet she is gonna be paired with either Tracer or Reaper ... the first OW Figma and Nendoroid were both Tracer... and Reaper is the second most recognized OW character.

Maverick 11-09-2018 07:00 PM

Im gonna guess its a character not done by figma yet to get people buying the hasbro ones. My guess solider 76.

My guess at this point is either Pharah or Soldier 76. Pharah would make sense from a gameplay perspective given that her synergy with Mercy is one of the game's most obvious simple strategies and Soldier 76 makes sense from an in-world perspective as he and Mercy were leaders of their respective sections of Overwatch. Beyond that there are other characters that would still make some sense but it quickly enters head-scratching territory.

hasbroherofan 11-09-2018 09:09 PM

I wonder if they will incorporate the Build-a-Figure concept from Legends for the bigger characters.

Maverick 11-09-2018 09:10 PM

I like your pick i just dont see hasbro doing a 2 pack of females based on how they handle other lines

MeLikeJinx 11-09-2018 09:39 PM

^ I bet Blizzard is the one that is picking the character assortments this time.

I most sincerely hope not. It's an annoying gimmick and some of the larger characters just are too damn big in one dimension or another that I'm not sure how they'd fit those pieces in with other figures. I'd hope that Hasbro prioritizes individual character details and accessories over a lame gimmick. Also, if they did bring the BAF approach to the Overwatch line it would only be able to last for like 3 or 4 waves before they'd be out of the big tanks.

I'm not saying you're wrong, but I'd like to think that going into 2019 the kind of low grade corporate sexism that says people won't buy two female action figures in the same pack is no longer a thing.

I like the BAF system for Marvel Legends but I agree completely it wouldn't work for Overwatch and would probably be detrimental.

hasbroherofan 11-10-2018 01:53 PM

I would also say how in some cases that might be true, but in Overwatch the most popular characters in the game tend to be women. In fact part of the appeal from the start was that it has a much more diverse and visually interesting cast than your average shooter game.

Brownfinger 11-10-2018 04:15 PM

BAF Bob or we riot!
No but seriously, it's hard to imagine some of these larger characters being done and still kept under budget. But they've also sold Hulk figures that weren't BAF's, so it's not impossible. Maybe they'll do separate price points? Winston, Reinhardt, Zaraya, Roadhog, Orisa. D. Va's mech would be my ideal first wave choice if they did decide to piece them out, with the woman herself as someone available in that same wave.
