That’s funny. I tried to order Iron Patriot 3 times. One time they sent me the Igor by mistake, which I didn’t return seeing as it’s a major upgrade. Second time the lights don’t work and his face falls off. Latest time I score him pretty cheap only to find it’s not a new piece—wrist is superglued PLUS his face still falls off. One day...

To bring it back on topic, think I’m gonna pass. Neat gimmick but not enough to stand out from the crowd. Details seem a bit soft compared to everyone else’s IM product and the poseability is not much of a point for me. Luckily, there’s a bunch of companies making Iron Man toys in my (approximate) scale.

Yeah it's pretty tame by previous Yamaguchi standards, IMO. Easy pass for me too but would've been all over this if the figure itself was consistent with the stylized look that the other figures have or if they just went crazy with the modular accessories or if they just did a straight up capcom homage. Missed opportunity IMO.

Patience. This is just the first display of the prototype, I expect the final product to include much more stuff, more panels for the back / legs, more weapons (both ranged and melee), and who knows what else.

I wouldn't judge this figure too soon, we only have a few pictures for now. And I do think the potential is there, the design is stylized and looks quite good IMO. Plus we can already see some modular accessories.

I have so many Iron Mans I'm not sure I need this but I preordered it anyway. Hoping for more from Amazing Yamaguchi though!

Shit. Changed my mind.

I like this one a lot. The mechanical nature of the armor hides the ugly joints very well and the modular accessories are perfect, very reminiscent of their Carnage figure in how you can mix and match parts to get a lot of different display options.

I hope they make a War Machine too, while he didn’t have a nano machine suit (to my knowledge) that would allow for as many crazy weapons they could give him options to swap out the Gatling gun on the shoulder for a giant rocket launcher or something.

Also, I wonder which villain they could make that fits Iron Man. Ultron? Dr. Doom? Crimson Dynamo? The most interesting option would be the Mandarin for sure, but I doubt he’s popular enough these days. Maybe they skip the villains for him and just settle for alternate armors, they didn’t do a bad guy for Cap either.

My first Amazing Yamaguchi is Psylocke. Have yet to open it after getting her for the Holidays (still catching up with my Holiday hauls). If I do well with Betsy, I might pick this up. Looks pretty sick and intimidating at the same time!
