Mezco Reveals New 5 Points Toy Line featuring Scooby Doo and Birdman - The Toyark - News

Dolemite 02-11-2019 09:20 AM

Ugh. I don't think anyone on Earth asked for yet another retro figure line.

True but these look like they'll give me some pretty cool Scooby Doo figures which does have me super excited. Still though I've waited a long time hoping for Scooby and the gang to be made in a 6' to 7' scale. Hopefully this indicates that Mezco has the license and they make one:12 collective figures or something.

Black Arbor 02-11-2019 09:44 AM

Maybe if it was Harvey Birdman, attorney at law...

SpasticPlastic 02-11-2019 10:02 AM

Mezco, eh? So, 3.75" figures that cost around $45?

Tomax 02-11-2019 11:25 AM

big fan of BirdMan but not in that scale. if they made it in 6", ill buy it.

The problem is that these "retro" figures do sell.

Hipsters buy them up and hang them on their walls. They've reached similar status as Funko Pops honestly and the companies are taking advantage of the consumer interest and high profit margin, and making a bunch of them.

The 5 point stuff is cool. I guess retro 80s style toys are finally fully making a comeback. They are fun and cheap

Yeah, they're not exactly leading with their strongest licenses, lol.

That's just the introductory price. It'll probably go up to $75 within 6 months.

You might be in luck, then. After all, they released that pretty sweet-looking Popeye figure recently. A one:12 Scooby Doo-related figure wouldn't be a shocking announcement. A Velma would be HAWT.

Snowflakian 02-12-2019 07:58 PM

Hope this means they'll get Blue Falcon and Dynomutt later.
