These come out at the same time as a few other pricey releases, so I'm going to pass but I really like these. I especially like Batgirl and Raph

Galaxy Ranger 07-09-2019 08:08 AM

Ordered all sets! I feel this is the closest I'll get to IDW style TMNT done pretty well.

Agreed. These look very sharp. Last Sunday I was just discussing with the missus that I need to get a blue cowl/grey tights batman and a kid robin, but wasn't satisfied with any on the horizon or on the aftermarket. Then this pops up. PERFECT. Hits the right spots without a figuarts or Mafex price!

ShabbyBlue 07-09-2019 10:59 AM

Man, we are really accumulating quite a number of different incarnations of the TMNT in collector level quality now as a preferred alternative to the crappy kid's lines Playmates keeps producing. Unless I'm missing anything I think we now have:

NECA Mirage Studios black and white turtles
NECA Mirage Studios full color turtles (red masks)
NECA Mirage Studios full color turtles (multi-colored masks) - bootleg set
NECA Arcade Turtles
NECA 1980s Cartoon Turtles
NECA 1990 Movie Turtles

And now the Batman vs. TMNT turtles from DCC. Then next up is Super 7's version of TMNT, which many are speculating might be based on Playmates' 1980s toy line, but done in larger scale with better sculpts/more articulation, similar to the recent Toxic Avenger figure. I can't wait to see those at SDCC and hope it could do well enough to expand into a MOTU Classics type of line to give us April, Casey, and some of the less prominent cartoon/toy line villains like Rat King, Baxter Stockman, Fugitoid, Metalhead, Usagi Yojimbo, etc.

After those, is there really any other incarnation of TMNT left that's worthy of NECA or other collector-focused companies to produce?

snake5289 07-09-2019 11:05 AM

How about the TMMT animated movie and IDW comics?

metalalchemist 07-09-2019 11:13 AM

Hate to deal with this store, their online site always sucks and their support is not too good.
Crossing my fingers my preorder does not go south.
Now I just hope hasbro's next annoucements for SDCC suck XD

I’ve never had an issue with ordering games from them. Never ordered collectibles from them.

I honestly think the SH Figuarts ones are pretty great too.

Yeah, site is kind of stiff. Modifies your billing address at its own will and if you pay through paypal, it is always a lottery(they even accept it) + their C.S. tends to not be too savvy.

I'm always open to ANY version of the TMNT, long as the design is done with reverence to the core of TMNT. I have mostly NECA tmnt (Figuarts looks TOO cartoony and is notorious for never completing a series)

If the Super7 look amazing, I'll snag those too. I would LOVE a 6" Four Horsemen version of the Mondo 1/6 scale, but it'll probably be retro/he-man style of tmnt like the original toys.

Well, I have an order number/confirmation email, and it shows as valid in my history, so hopefully I'm good to go. *fingers crossed*

I've never had problems ordering toys online from Gamestop. There's been 2 or 3 Star Wars 6" exclusive figures I've ordered from them, and the recent Transformers/Ghostbusters Ecto-1 I preordered months ago that finally shipped out last week and arrived this past weekend. All of them shipped just fine without damage or other issues.

Sweet! That's what I hope for! I just ordered the Bat-Mikey too, just so I have 'em all.

mort 07-09-2019 04:21 PM

Wow, not sure which to get between Batgirl/Don and Batman/Leo. Both look great.

A pitty we probably won't see those in europe...

Damn man...my turtle heart goes out to you. If you really want it maybe I could help. Shipping the figures in their original boxes would probably cost a lot. If you take them out of the original boxes and pack them in tight shipping could be a reasonable cost.
Shipping from Gamestop to my house is free. So you would only have to pay shipping to you, and the state tax. My order total for the bundle was $275.61. Maybe somebody would have a good guess on the shipping to you in england.
I won't charge any handling fee.
DM me if you're interested! Turtle power!

redfox 07-09-2019 07:03 PM

They look really nice, but I'm going to want to see some reviews before I bite.

mort 07-09-2019 07:34 PM

Wow, that Batman looks a lot like Samurai Jack in a mask...

evilekim 07-09-2019 08:19 PM

I just Preordered in store today! Got all 5 sets ordered, plus I have the SDCC Version on order. These came out great! Really like Shredder and Michelangelo best. Raphael is growing on me, and rest are great as well. Donnie is my least favorite, but that’s how he looked in the movie. The helmeted head is cool though, I might use that more. Too bad they didn’t make the helmet removable, because that expression is great!
Overall, I’m happy! So much great TMNT Collector Quality figures coming out, great time to be a TMNT fan!

Dolemite 07-09-2019 09:29 PM

Shit. I need that Batgirl.

If I decide not to keep her I’ll sell it to you for the half and shipping. No profit.

Agree would still like a direct version of the IDW style but for now think these are closest to that.

jwyss234 07-10-2019 07:08 PM

DCC put some extra shots up on their Facebook page for Batman, Robin, Leo, and Raph. I may be wrong but it looks like the blue briefs on Batman are made of soft plastic, similar to what Neca does to keep the hips functional on many of their figures. So the figures may not have drop down hips. Also, Robin has grip hands.

These look SOOOOO AWESOME!!! I'm really giddy! I wanted to expand my Bat collection, and this lets me get almost all my characters in one go. Just need to snag DC Essentials Joker now. Hope he looks good with these.
