I wish they'd give a little more info on these. They've already made the figures, so it would be nice to know what to expect.

The Diamond Select stuff is always at least 25 dollars at my LCS... I kinda like the 16 dollar pricepoint at Walgreens better even though the packaging is not as nice and there are less accessories and no display pieces.

Some kind of update would be nice... come on DS...

I ended up cancelling my BBTS preorder and just getting them off of eBay a few weeks back. Now just waiting on the Black Hole figures to start showing up somewhere.

But aren't the ones due out different to the Walgreens ones? Accessories, Recognizer, etc.

Supposedly yeah. Unless they made a change from the original solicitation like they did with the Tron/KH packs which were supposed to be 3-packs but got changed-unannounced-to 2-packs (same price tho :/)
So yeah, I guess I'll be missing out on the (not-scale) Recognizer. Not sure what the other accessories would be tho...the Walgreens guys already come with a stand and a disc that they can't even hold.

I managed to get the Blue Flynn I bought to hold his disc ok. It is kind of balanced as much as held though.

I think the new ones were supposed to have 'throwing' effects too. Wish they'd hurry up and either release or cancel them. These month on month delays are just annoying. Though I suppose it's no worse than Boss Fight's method of simply adding a whole year to the release date of their Mighty Steeds.

Got an email from BBTS today (2020-1-17) that says that the Build-a-Recognizer parts are no longer included and so the price has been dropped considerably.

Love the deflection effect that Flynn comes with-luckily that's the only one I need to get. Even though I'm kicking myself a little for not waiting.

I hope Ram and Yori are in Series 2... no idea who the 3rd person would be though... the guard with the pole I guess. That probably means no Series 3... not enough main characters.

There's still Dumont's character, and I'd love to get a real world Flynn too. With them cancelling the Recognizer, that doesn't bode well for chances of a wave 2 I think. DST is notorious for doing one-and-done waves (X-Files, Pulp Fiction) or never completing the full cast of characters (Star Trek, Gotham) so I don't have much hope for a 2nd wave at this point. :(

Yeah pretty much...Dumont, Clu, maybe the schlubby accounting program from earlier in the film lol. That's pretty much it unless they're going to dip into the real world versions of the characters.

With the way I've seen them lingering, I kinda doubt we get a series 2...

Online preorders for this wave may have been less than ideal, which could be why the Recognizer got cancelled from the set and the price per figure lowered. Maybe they shouldn't have already offered the same Tron and Sark figures (with less accessories) for sale at Walgreens stores last year. I suspect many people just settled for getting those rather than ordering the higher priced online versions that were taking forever to get released. If this is the negative result of all that, then the blue Flynn variant should have been the only figure offered exclusively at Walgreens so that it wouldn't harm the sales of the other figures in the wave.

On the flipside, I wonder how well those "discount" versions of the figures sold at Walgreens and if Walgreens might support DST in doing a 2nd wave exclusive to the store. I'd gladly get a 2nd wave with less accessories at Walgreens if it means we can get Yori, Ram, and a Sentry Guard.

Is it just me or are the faces colored incorrectly now? Before the pics showed a greyscale type color sceme on the faces (like in the movie) but now they all have the same skintone color faces. wtf?!?

Huh, I got Sark and Tron without the effects for $16 a piece. Sark was made with a grey plastic that looks quite a bit like the movie but Tron was made with a much lighter plastic. It's tough to get them both looking good in a photo. Hope fully they do a run of Tron and Flynn with grey plastic.

Still irritated that the 'collector' editions are boxes you have to destroy, but retail ones are in re-closeable boxes.

Don't give a fig about the Recognizer parts - those throwing effects look great to me. Can't wait!

I hope so too, but the fact they shot their wadd with wave 1 means they almost certainly aren't going to do a second wave. They should have done Tron, Sark and Guard wave 1, then Flynn, Ram and Yori wave 2. Ram could easily reuse the same buck as Tron / Flynn.

Lots of people wait to see reviews before they order figures, so I can't see why companies lean so hard on preorders - especially when in this case they chose to release the same figures at a lower cost at retail months before! Crazy!

Truth is - we don't need effects pieces for Ram, Yori or the Guard - just their 'weapons'. I really do hope wave 1 sold well enough for a wave 2...

I keep on seeing these guys at my local Walgreens. I'm a kid of the 80's and I LOVED this movie. I am not sure what it is but for some reason I just can't get myself to pull the trigger on these figures.
