Holy shit, NECA's re-releasing the entire Predator 2 Lost Tribe in Ultimate form. Yes!

And there's the reason why Wolf won't be happening until next year. 2020 is filled with Predator 2 Ultimates :)

With this year being the 30th anniversary of Predator 2, it makes sense for them to re-release them all as Ultimate figures. But what I'm REALLY hoping for this anniversary year is to finally get the Danny Glover Mike Harrigan figure. We finally got Newt from Aliens and John Conner from T2, both of which initially were said to be unlikely for release, so Harrigan is now my last holy grail figure for NECA to offer us from these films. If they are ever going to release him, this anniversary year seems like the best time to do it.

Please....let them all come out in ultimate form. I’m more excited for predator figures now than I ever have been!

Might as well do Jerry Lambert from Pred2 as well. NECA has Paxton's likeness as soon in their Hudson figure.

How many "Lost Tribe" predators were in that scene in the film anyway or have been done by NECA before just so that I have an idea of how many to expect re-release this year as Ultimate figures? The Elder predator with the 1700s pistol was the only one that ever stood out to me in the film and the only one I ever bothered buying the first time around.

Yeah, same reason they couldn't get the rights to do Dillon from Predator even though they had made multiple Apollo Creed figures. :(

NECA has previously done every member of the Lost tribe and they even redid Greyback once already. Obviously the City Hunter has had many figures including an already released ultimate. So the members are:

City Hunter
Greyback (the Elder)
Borg (sometimes called Lost)
Shaman
Snake
Scout
Boar
Guardian or Gort
Little Boar
Warrior

Edit: Looking at this list again, I'm actually hoping they don't all get ultimate releases. Some of them, like Little Boar and Shaman, are notably less equipped in both armor and accessories so I feel like they'd be better suited to a standard boxed sub-line like the AVP arcade figures or the Predator 30th anniversary line. To be clear, the bodies should still be upgraded I just don't think they all need to be put in the larger box with the higher price.

We know Borg and Scout is coming (Scout was who I wanted most!). I'm expecting Guardian at the least.

I could even see them justifying Greyback by throwing in aged versions of his gear from the Golden Angel release but guys like the Boars are such minimalist designs I feel like it'd be a real stretch to cram in the accessories to make them ultimate releases.

That would be cool. I'd sign off on that. I'm expecting a few surprises here and there, besides them remaking existing Pred figures.

Don't really need another city hunter as he's been done to death and in Ultimate form, however, they could do an updated battle damaged variant packaged with Harrigan as an exclusive.

As for the lost tribe. Hoping they've updated their articulation to the current standard and are not just repackaging with a few new accessories. Can't wait to see the mask designs for Shaman and Snake. Guessing Greyback will use one of his Golden Angel masks.

Seeing this guy with an unmasked head gives me hope that they'll give us Ultimate Super Predators soon with unmasked variants for Falconer and Tracker. The new 100th/Alpha predator looks like he has a super predator body so i reckon they wont be too far off (2021 perhaps). Still holding out hope they'll give us a semi cloaked Tracker ...

If I'm lucky my father hasn't destroyed the previous Lost Tribe collection with his usual 'let's move things for no reason!' mentality*, cos I'm starting to think that's my only real reason for getting these. The weapons and head sculpts mean nothing to me unless they're actually from concept art, and I'm not really fussed about extra articulation since half my collection doesn't have it anyway!

I think we're about to get a lot of re-dos now that they're slowly running out of truly notable iterations.

*Parents - doing dumb crap because they've nothing better to do.

Not going to lie...while I'm glad for all of you who missed out on the original releases, seeing this announcement kinda makes me feel bittersweet. It renders all of the time, money and hard work I put into hunting these down feel for naught, especially when during that time, there simply weren't as many ways to get a hold of NECA items as there is now. This also as well kills whatever value they might have had (not that I ever had intention of re-selling these. For many of them, the glue started to peel off the card long ago, until I finally decided to just open all of them...)

It's cool for those of you who came late to the party, or missed out on one or two of these guys (I had a BITCH of a time finding Scout back in the day, and paid a pretty penny for him on Ebay) but I can't help but feel like this is a middle finger from NECA to all of us who have been there since the beginning.

I personally would have rather seen more original creations like the upcoming Alpha Predator, or maybe a focus on trying to finally get a new Wolf done. I would have even welcomed redone Super-Predators (since they were clearly inferior articulation wise to even the first releases of the Lost Tribe) but this announcement...I can't say I'm completely excited about it 100 percent.

These guys have long been requested though...so to those of you who have been pining for them...congrats!

While I always love when NECA re-releases figures to make them easier for collectors to get a hold of, I do feel for you, man. That's a bummer of a situation to be in.

We need a King Willie. He could come with his cane sword (sheathed), cane sword drawn, cane sheath, and severed, screaming head. Maybe his fortune telling bones too.

Honestly, most of the early Pred figures from NECA just didn't do it for me. I always had major gripes with how little articulation they had. I welcome the long overdue release of my dream Pred figures.

I don’t think you should view your original Lost Tribe figures as inferior just because new versions are coming out. Because it isn't.

It's a collection of figures which will never be reissued, and most importantly: It's yours. The hardships of collecting them all, the satisfaction once you completed the set, the joy you still feel when you look at them today. This won’t change just because updated molds of these characters are out. That's how I view it at least.

Personally I would cherry pick my favorite Lost Tribe members which I like enough to buy again and implement them into other displays while keeping the original collection intact.

You basically already have the right attitude, this is a chance for people who weren’t around when these first came out to get them, nothing else. Just ditch the feeling that the figures you already have are becoming any less valuable as representations of these characters.

If anything you should feel proud that you own a complete OG Lost Tribe set.

OMFG...It sounds great if they do the entire Lost Tribe, except the City Hunter, is yet so New to do another version. Dying for a new Elder, cause the old ones are super expensive on eBay. They could do the entire AvP line too in ultimate format.

And yes, please, a fucking Harrigan figure !!!
