Again, why this but not super shredder or the Casey set? Or the cartoon sets? Or the turtles live set?

I’ll have to watch that episode with Randy. Honestly, I’ve always liked Randy when ever I’ve seen him on video. His tweets can come off nasty, but the written word is tough to convey true feelings. I think neca is out of their element right now across the board and they aren’t changing fast enough or in the right direction to meet the needs of their customers.

I'm just a guy on the internet, but I would guess one reason is the characters were made for the movie only. Therefore the ownership is probably less restrictive.

elbastardo 07-29-2020 10:16 PM

I don't think that interview did them many favors.

I'm not enraged, just uninspired. Either toys bring you joy or they don't.

Joe Moore 07-30-2020 07:35 AM

Pre-orders for these are going to start at Midnight tonight. NECA has also confirmed these are full made to order. So all pre-orders will be filled.

SpasticPlastic 07-30-2020 09:18 PM

Ordered mine right away. Easy as possible.

Yup. Should always be that easy.

SpasticPlastic 07-30-2020 09:32 PM

Hopefully they sell so many, they decide they don't need big box retailers.

JerpJerp 07-31-2020 12:07 AM

Ordered!
Watched the Randy and Dan show tonight. Tough business going on. Randy is not responsible. It's not his job and the issues go deep. Not being able to cancel pre-orders even when you know they are bots because it will effect your seller rating really bad? ROUGH. Had no idea.
I'm having a little more faith the proper systems will be in place as the future rolls on. Randy was very emphatic about not moving forward until massive security is in place.
One thing I mention earlier that he said too...They can only re-release figs so many times before they have to move on. The reveals are pressures to move on so....Around 40 mins into the interview he talks a little about it.

hoang51 07-31-2020 12:24 AM

Just finished placing my order for these. Was easy and definitely better than to pay a premium to scalpers. But the shipping cost... Ugh. Oh well, can't win at everything.

Comedian 07-31-2020 05:09 AM

Ordered. $86 with shipping. No issue with money, I just don’t want the chase anymore.

I believe Randy and neca as a whole are working on things. Change doesn’t happen overnight. As they are addressing the issues and trying new outlets, I too can give them the time to sort this out. But out of the last 8 turtles releases by neca, this is the only one I could secure.

Side not, I saw on a Star Wars toy site that hasbro was down 29 percent this quarter but Star Wars was way up, and it sounds like hasbro is crediting online sales for that and even mentioned moving more toys to online/presale type of sales.

Neca needs a change quick, because the world and most toy collectors just moved to online vs brick and mortar.

Not gloating, but just me....I use to spend just more than half of my to budget in store. This year I have spent almost 90 percent of my toy budget online. The only thing I bought in store was a few Batman figures and he-man wrestlers.

The receipts from BBTS,MO,EE,DS,amazon and Walmart.com are scary....divorceable even.lol

TMNT II: The Secret of the Ooze – Tokka and Rahzar 2-Pack Pre-Orders Now Live - The Toyark - News

https://news.toyark.com/wp-content/u...2-Pack-001.jpg

davhuit 07-31-2020 06:08 AM

This selling method is only good for Tokka and Rahzar because they're quit expensives and not the most popular characters.
But I wouldn't like them to sell all others tmnt figures like that because if you can't afford to buy them from the time being (only 1 week), you're screwed. Not everyone can't afford to spend 100$ (for international) for figures without reflecting or saving first in this economic crisis time.

roykop 07-31-2020 06:24 AM

While I personally prefer this method davhuit, I agree with what you are saying. It would be great if future products could be sold with some sort of hybrid method.... a pre-order window for everyone who wants one, but still sell to regular stores so they can be bought after the fact for those that want to.

To be honest, with enough advanced notice before the sales dates, I think most people would likely be able to save up for the pre order window, we only knew for about a week in this particular case.. what if we knew 3 months in advance?

Joe Moore 07-31-2020 06:49 AM

I got my order in this morning. Shipping was a little pricey, but it always is when ordering direct from their store, eBay, and amazon pages.

I'm not so sure. I've purchased many exclusive items from the NECA store over the last several years and I think this might have been the most shipping I've ever paid. But it is likely because I ordered two and not one, as in the past. I wonder if the shipping just doubles for two versus one? But it's hard to imagine these will cost more to ship than the huge, very heavy 1990 TMNT Diorama set. Unless maybe they're shipping them all separately even if you order two?

How was your shipping so low on the dio set? That's pretty crazy.

I have no idea. I do live on the West Coast and I think maybe they fulfill from over here? Although I'm not certain of that. But yeah, $12.21 for a huge, heavy diorama AND the Turtles 4-pack is insane. Just a $1.81 more than the shipping on the 4-pack of Turtles by themselves.

The great thing about the NECA store though for me at least is that I never have and still don't get charged state tax. So I don't mind paying shipping so much.

Yeah, the warehouse is in California, so that probably helped the cost a lot.

Slammed94 07-31-2020 11:38 AM

My shipping was only 11 bucks

SpasticPlastic 07-31-2020 03:14 PM

The shipping is insane, but I've been burning more than that in gas trying to find things, so I'm ok with it. Plus, not having to stress about it is priceless. I paid $22.72 shipping for this 2 pack. Worse yet, during the SDCC sale last week I had to do 2 separate orders. 1 xeno, then 1 predator. Both were $22.72 shipping each.

You live in Minnesota? That's just crazy. That sounds like it'd be international shipping rates.

I do. A friend of mine that lives in Wisconsin ordered one. His house is 13 minutes from me. His shipping was just over $16. I'm technically closer to California than him, so I'm not sure how they figure it out. Maybe they think Minnesota is part of Canada?

Phantomcrow 07-31-2020 05:43 PM

I know they basically said the 1 week pre order window was because these are ready to go into production at the factory, they just need to know how many to make. Everything is done and ready to roll off the production line. so that is also why such a short turnaround for November shipping. It is not like Kickstarter or Super 7 because all the work is done. For those others the kiskstarter happens before any work is done. So I hope they see this works and decide to basically use the KS/Cround fund/Haslab method for at least some of the future offerings. Randy even hinted at a Turtle Van could be something to croud fund.

Atomsmasher 08-03-2020 12:40 PM

It won't ship to Ri how do i contact them?
Figured it out can't ship two together and shipping is like 23 dollars.

jwyss234 08-06-2020 02:38 PM

I decided against ordering a set today. Shipping to Tennessee was going to be $20, bringing the total price to $90. It just isn’t worth it to me when there are other figures right around the corner that I’m more excited for.

Plus, these two and Super Shredder appear in Turtles In Time. Theres a chance we could get them in that line, albeit in a pixelated deco, without having to jump through hoops or pay huge amounts in shipping.

Jurassicvania 08-07-2020 07:31 AM

Some shots show articulated fingers, some have static hands. Product description doesn't list articulated fingers, so I wonder which it will be.
