And that's why I'm on my way to stopping. Now if I could just overcome the compulsion to keep reading the news sites. :)

Archangel 10-26-2020 06:02 PM

Damn that Pedro head sculpt is awful.

Some of us have jobs/lives too and can't be at their beck and call at all times just to buy toys. Jesus, fix this Hasbro.

Even us retired folk dont have the time. And its useless to try online as the scalper bots grab everything and even if you manage to get one by the minute you get to the gawddamned checkout its sold out and back on permanent pre-order.

Cyclopswc 10-26-2020 08:51 PM

Well, the Walmart exclusive is available again if anyone's interested.

I was gonna get into the jazzwares halo stuff but they arent scaled for their fortnite line like i was hoping. They look more like the old joyride studios stuff. I at least have fortnite i can collect...for now.

Um Master Chief and the Spartans are actually in scale with the Fortnite characters. Spartans are always around 7 feet tall.

RodimusZX 10-27-2020 12:40 AM

OOOF. I'm sorry, but everything here looks like shit. I thought maybe the first Beskar Black Series fig with inaccurate left knee armor was just a one-off or Hasbro being lazy, but these all have the same mistake, and the paint/capes/overall sculpted details just look like crap. Both of the Din sculpts and the Moff Gideon sculpt are embarrassingly bad, and Hasbro had been getting a little bit better at sculpting in the last couple years. Yikes. Lucasfilm (*cough*Disney*cough*) shouldn't have been so eager to dump this garbage out and should've let it roast in the oven a little more.

Razorcrest is the only good looking/accurate thing in the bunch, but damn if I don't have space for a giant 2-foot long toy...

Nexodusrex 10-27-2020 05:39 AM

so I ended up getting the Mandalorian/Child Vintage series 2pack from Walmart.

Which led to me joining the Haslab Razor Crest. Collecting is a slippery slope.... I have a spot for it, and I freaking love that ship and everything about the ship. I'll put my hotwheels and lego razor crests next to it....

That's not a slippery slope, that's a cliff with a trampoline at the bottom that launches you into the active volcano!

Silly me has been tempted by the Razor Crest based on how nice the gray proto Mandalorian looks. Thankfully, I managed to scratch that itch by picking up the WM exclusive when it reopened (thanks @Cyclopswc!).

Yep, Officially I believe Master Chief is about 7 ft in armor and around 6'8" out of armor. The Spartan II soldiers were genetically altered to be bigger and stronger than a normal human. The newer Spartan III soldiers are modified normal adult humans. So the Kat figure and the White armored Spartan in the toys should be a little shorter than Master Chief.

The Child included with the Razor Crest is supposed to be exclusive of some kind, either the cardback or the figure. I'm planning on not opening that one if I get the Razor Crest. I'm not sure about Mando himself though, I'm sure it's the same mold, I don't think it's carded though.

I meant in terms of scale wise to the figs themselves. The new halo figs are more in scale with the old joyride studios than the jazzwares legendary fortnite figs.

Why would you want Master Chief to be a 6” or 6.5” figure?

Finally the version I wanted

snake5289 11-02-2020 10:14 AM

Cool but as much of a pain in the ass it will probably be to get I think I'll go for the Wal-Mart version.

Cyclopswc 11-02-2020 10:42 AM

So this version is just the Walmart version without the Child? And Shiny.

To scale with the jazwares fortnite figs. Im not saying that the jazwares halo figs are bad. Far from it, but im just surprised that jazwares didn't scale them with their fortnite legendary series to maximize crossplay-ability. :)

Nayt Navare 11-02-2020 02:01 PM

Got one, wooooo!

Maverick 11-02-2020 02:13 PM

Ya I grabbed a couple on Amazon always feels good to get a preorder in looking at you target. As for halo they do scale Spartans are just that big. Now if the make a normal human and hes huge then theres a scale issue.

snake5289 11-02-2020 03:39 PM

I pre-ordered the Wal-Mart version today. I just hope nothing screwy happens to mess it up.

Totally agree with you there, the Marvel and tf target exclusives seem to be the only thing that you can still get at store and online most of the time after they've been released. But the tmnt and Joe figures are way harder to come by via online or going to the store...
