Pixel Dan just did an interview with Brian Flynn, it looks like it's going to be Ultimates and reaction eventually and it'll be metallic paint instead of vac metal. Also looks like a price increase for Ultimates.

I just hope they aren't super roided out.

Yeah thinking it over with Super7 I probably would want separate but in one package would be nice. Before I was thinking they made so many advances in transformations and toy engineering so it'd be perfect. But thats Hasbro or Bandai not S7 :P

If they are producing figures I hope to God they aren't ReAction or built on the MOTUC buck.

if s7 is still around in 10 years they'll still be using the motuc buck. by industry standard it was bordering on outdated when mattel began using it. s7 don't care, they're in it to profit on nostalgia and they'll ride that bus until the wheels fall off.

they didn't care one bit for thundercats, eventhough the scale chart for the tv-show (that the toyline is based on) clearly shows body types are all over the map. silverhawks is an even smaller ip not a chance they'll care here either. pisses me off to no end thinking about what 'thundercats' and 'silverhawks' could have been in the hands of a company like mcfarlane or neca. or if it was under 4hm themselves.

Same. I much prefer fully articulated figures instead of just ReAction-style figures.

I'm fine with no vac-metal, but they really will need to use a few different body types- a buffed-up Copper Kid would be the stuff of nightmares...

Whatever the case, I'm excited for figures- Silverhawks had awesome character designs. If the bodies used make the core 'Hawks team look weird, I may just buy whichever ones look right, and the villains. I know there's a big cast of heroes, but the villains are super-visually-interesting embodiments of 80s sci-fi awesomeness. Mon-Star, Mo-Lec-U-Lar, Buzzsaw, Poker Face, Melodia...

I would absolutely LOVE Tigersharks figures, and buy all of them, but I feel like for them to really do well, the actual animated series needs to get more exposure. It is almost impossible to find any episodes beyond the first 2 (Which saw a home release, albeit a rare one, on VHS), even among bootleg dealers. Maybe if a streaming service put the series up, it'd have more of a chance.

deecee4 02-02-2021 04:19 PM

I was looking at vintage Tigersharks figures on eBay the other day....oof, they go for some serious money-even loose with no accessories.

"Super 7 Has The Silverhawks License"

I give no shits. And I'm old enough that I'm in the demographic that Super7 is attempting to appeal to.

dukefett 02-03-2021 01:42 PM

I definitely had a couple Silverhawks, but they kind of fall into the Thundercats realm for me. I might grab someone that brings back some memories but I'll probably skip Ultimates.

Exactly. That always bugged the hell out of me.

KELPIE 02-10-2021 04:17 PM

This is all about Copper Kidd and Buzz-Saw for me. I absoluetly want modern versions of them.

I'll probably buy a bunch of others but the line is a bust without these two characters.
