I preordred the set, but I would't say it's one I'm super excited about.
Like most who did, my X-men shelf would greatly appreciate the addition of Callisto, Wyngarde, and Cyber.
I'll be filing Wolvie and either the OG Omega Red or this new one away to a junk box (unless someone here wants them.)

Somewhat of a tangent, but I've stayed away from modern comics since the AoA storyline killed my interest back in the day, and as such, haven't really discussed them much online- why all of the disdain for Cyber? He was never number one in my book, but I'd consider him an integral Wolverine foe for sure. I'll also add, his inclusion in this set makes far more sense than Callisto or Mastermind.

I've talked about wanting a Cyber figure for a while so I'm happy to get one. I think this one slightly misses the mark due to the deco and face but I'm still getting it.

But I admit, I originally wanted one using the Caliban BAF body. I just have this visual of a huge Cyber up against Wolverine. Same goes for Sabretooth. I'd love one with more 1992 animated cartoon style and size.

At least now the figures/characters exist in some capacity for those that want them, and still give room for another possible X-wave in the near future.

i'd still prefer them as a wave. that way I can buy them staggered instead of one whole swoop.

I'm not sure if it's disdain or just disinterest. Cyber was introduced in '91 but killed in '95 and he wasn't brought back until 2007 only to die again in '09. My point is he doesn't have a tendency to last for particularly long in the comics, and then I can't recall him ever appearing in any other media to help boost his relevance. He is a hole filled for the Wolverine villains since we already got Sabretooth, Omega Red, Lady Deathstrike, and Silver Samurai, but most people don't consider that hole in dire need of filling. After the four I just mentioned I imagine any other Wolverine foes would get equally as unenthusiastic of a welcome as Cyber seems to be. Unless everyone is really hoping to get Ogun later and is just being very quiet about it. The crowd of collectors focusing specifically on Wolverine characters is easily eclipsed by those going for the larger X-Men world and Cyber only appeals to the smaller of those groups.

Makes sense- I hadn't realized that, having dipped out before he'd been killed off.

Has Callisto ever been considered a Wolverine foe? Couldn't they have done her in a 2 pack with Storm instead (maybe with a Storm repaint from their fight in the Morlock tunnels https://www.syfy.com/sites/syfy/file...isto_death.jpg in either the comic black suit or the animated white suit with lightsabers)

Cyber was good trading card fodder, if anyone was into Marvel trading cards in the 90s.
