During that time we got two Superman comics. One was set in the present with Superman being Supes for a few years having already formed the JL. He has his Kryptonian armored suit. The second was a comic set up the past when Superman in this new continuity first became a superhero. He's wearing normal clothing as the jeans and a T shirt with an S. He couldn't fly but I believe he had the cape from when he was a baby. It was indestructible of course. His earth clothes not so much. So we had issues where he had a white shirt or a blue shirt. Then we eventually saw how he got his armored suit and the comics both shifted into the present. Fastfoward to the next to final arc of the new52 Superman(before he died). He lost a great of his powers. His armored suit stripped/removed from him. His cape was shredded. He returned to wearing plain clothes. This time he adapted a Fleischer S on the shirt. He used the shreds of the cape to cover his hands(because even in this state it was very durable). This occurred during the DC You era where Flash got a CW inspired suit(after the CW switched to a White emblem....), Cyborg got the best bloody design of all time which is why turning him into floating head man in other media sucks, Batman was former Commissioner Gordon. Once Dc You ended (Pour one out for Cyborg who got reverted back to a poor state of being) Superman got his suit and powers back, then he died. Luckily the Post Crisis Superman had returned and then got a new suit which is what the new toy is. It didn't last long before being replaced with the Perfect Superman suit. Then BENDIS happened and screwed it all up! My personal opinion on the armored new52 suit. It was difficult to draw. Artists had the following problems They drew Superman to small so the suit seemed way to big for him. They drew the costume like it was super shiny metal and so colorist had a bad inconsistent time with it. The best rendition was making it seem like a thicker fabric(Think Homelander on the Amazon show) and keeping Superman big. Across the board though the belt was god awful. They actually made some tweaks to it but still it was a better bad belt design. The first Rebirth suit had a similar problem Bad belt design and inconsistent artist issues. The suit does not look good in robins blue. It's too bright and makes it look like a onesie. The best rendition was using a dark blue. Then taking the boots and making them a metallic blue. Of course artists were inconsistent. Rebirth v2 - After New52 Superman and Post Crisis Superman merged. No problems. Best belt design ever. No artist was confused on how to draw it. Everyone was consistent with the only difference being artist style. It was a clean design that the Superman and Lois show I feel draws it's inspiration from. This is the suit I wanted as a figure. Still less confusing then new52 Batman or Hawkmans origin. |

The hell is with the weird dash of red above the sculpted boottops? Just go with the Rebirth suit that has the red boots if you don't wanna tool smooth legs!

The light up chest on Hazbat is unexpected and cool. Good job there, glad to see some of that worked into non 100 dollar figs.

^Bizarro has little tiny feet, I guess that explains some of his anger and frustration.

Does anyone know if the emblem comes off Superman easily? Since this body has been used before, I wonder if the S piece is designed in a way to swap it. I have a custom in mind for the body, but that raised S would just be in the way.

It's glued in. You need to pry it out.

It’s so gross that they kept Superman’s old boots molded in and tried to paint the new style over it.

Looking at the pic of the Amazo Virus Batman with his chest symbol lit up, it looks like he retains the upper torso articulation. That's pretty impressive since most figures lose their torso articulation when a light up feature is included.

That Amazo Virus Batman is actually a cool looking figure, I’m not gonna lie. By the way, it’s a strange coincidence that this Batman and Mafex’s Stealth Jumper Bats both have hoses to their faces.
I wonder how much this Amazo Batman would cost since it has a light feature. |

The regular Hazmat Batman looks fine, I don't see much about the appeal for a light-up version but good for those who want it.
|
a quick comparison of the two versions of the figure and it becomes clear that not only is the exclusive light-up but it is also premium paint job over the basic figure (look at belt pouches and shoulder armor) and also the mask is very fogged on the basic version and you can actually see his face on the light-up version. SO the missed out on exclusive side of me says no way i'm buying that crappy basic version
