Well you don't have to wait long, it is tonight on their Youtube channel at 9PM Eastern. The Pre-orders then go live on their store at 11PM Eastern when it finishes.

lordbest 09-10-2021 09:42 PM

Damn, I was hoping it would be another Kickstarter. Shipping from their store is too much for me to buy the figures I want.

Fantastic looking line, though.

Otter 09-11-2021 12:41 AM

I had hoped it was just the last Legion Builder wave with the accessory pack, but when you're cherry picking includes ogre-sized figures, the international shipping is just cost prohibitive.
It would cost me more in shipping than the two figures I'd like from this wave.
I might pick up the big guy from BBTS, but even then the mark up will probably mean I pass altogether.
Will contimue making Mythics work though.

I heard rumblings of this years ago, and was excited then. I hope they kick ass with it. Will jump in for pick and choose on some for sure.

Already going beastie with the teaser, so I guess it won't just be 60s space suits and bubble shaped laser guns :)

These Cosmic Legions figs...
Remind me of "The Outer Space Men"
(late 60s, early 70s)

I know those were "Bendies"...
But Bendies can be cool..

Was Major Matt Mason "Not Cool"??? =^)

Cosmic Legions are on my Radar, for sure...

Hey...
Do a updated "TOSM" 7" Figure...
Now those would be sweet.. ;^)

Black Arbor 09-11-2021 06:27 AM

Honestly.... Kinda underwhelmed. A lot of these are too over-designed for my taste with useless greeblies scattered about for detail, the only one who stands out for me is the insectoid one

They'll show up on BBTS at some point. There is also a smaller Canadian shop that should sell them if you're up there.

firmpulse 09-11-2021 08:20 AM

Fuckin-A these look INCREDIBLE.

I've seen a few German and UK online retailers offer them too, with a markup of course, but not nearly as bad as having to pay shipping yourself.

@Topic: I think these are neat. Slogg is the best looking one IMO but not worth the 80 bucks for me. I think if I had to cherry pick one I’d pick up Zeeri, I like the soft goods used on that figure.

Although it irritates me that it is not properly specified what accessories it actually comes with, like you see a picture with the guns, a rifle and a hologram or something, but what kinds of hands do I get? Do I need to buy that separate hands pack to have options or something?

Amen, and where are the humans?

So there are 3 different prices for the standard size figures. The legion builders come with very little paint and are fairly standard so are $25. Zeeri is a standard named character so she gets better paint and soft goods but no extra hands. You can buy a hands pack that will match her though. The deluxe figures like the bugs come with their extra hands, 4 arms, and wings.

You can also see the difference between the two versions of Olek. His deluxe version include extra hands, heads, and weapons.

I see. Kind of dumb though, I don’t want to buy a figure that only has trigger finger hands, yet at the same time, I don’t want to buy an extra set of hands that has way too many plus hands for a figure I don’t even need either.

jscott991 09-11-2021 11:41 AM

I really expected to go deep into this line, but wow. These aren't my thing at all.

They seriously couldn't have included a single human? Even just a generic space marine to pose with these weird looking guys?

I'm starting to realize that I'm just not in 4H's targeted customer base any more based on the last few Mythic Legions waves and now this.

deecee4 09-11-2021 11:50 AM

I'm really loving the big bulky creatures.....the smaller characters look good too, theyre just not my thing.

dukefett 09-11-2021 12:42 PM

Yeah I'm kind of the same way, I won't be into these nearly as much as Mythic Legions. I put in an order for Vorgga (just b/c of her gun really) and Olek Thygar. I'll most likely put in another order for the Kraggna and Slog, but that'll probably be it. Maybe 1 regular white trooper guy, but yeah I don't know if I'll love these, so will wait on more until I have those in hand and try for the in stock sale.

They also added stands to the store now. I never really thought those 1/6 style waist grabber stands would be needed for these though?

Reformatted2086 09-11-2021 02:12 PM

The only one I want is the SPHEXXIAN PRISON GUARD. I would want to army build them but not at $48 a pop. I'd rather get a leader class Transformer with that money.

Smasher 09-11-2021 04:20 PM

There's not a one of these that's not totally badass.
Every one is great.

I'll never buy any of them -but damn they're cool.

ShabbyBlue 09-11-2021 08:39 PM

I was hoping for something more in the style of 1950 sci-fi/pulp novel stuff like Flash Gordon or Buck Rogers or John Carter. I'm disappointed. None of these figures interest me.

theEnvoi 09-11-2021 10:48 PM

They jacked up shipping costs significantly. Anyone know why? Because if prices are gonna dip into the higher ranges I gotta start judging these products more harshly.

Augustus10 09-11-2021 11:07 PM

How could anyone hate on these? They look fantastic! If I had unlimited cash and space, I would order every Mythic Legions/Cosmic Legions put out.

Shipping prices have increased the world over due to the pandemic. They actually stated during the reveal that shipping a container from China costs 5-6 times as much as it did a year ago.

Dragasses 09-12-2021 09:37 AM

their stuff is just too busy for me.

I see the cool sculpts underneath, but like ba said, then they've added every button, switch, light, port, vent, jet, and input that they can squeeze on to them. their coolest designs to me have been to trolls, because the lack of armor that is so busy I can't focus on anything.

obviously these guys are some of the best designers/scupltors in the field, it's just not for me.

I ordered from them about 4 months ago. The shipping is almost double what I paid then, and USPS did not hike their prices to that extent within the last 4 months as far as I know.

Well I don't know the details about your orders but I've been ordering from them for the past year or so and just threw an all-in into my cart to see what shipping was and seems about the same. I know their international shipping is really bad but domestic shipping seems the same. The all-in shipping was around $21. If you buy these from any other stores their mark-up price usually starts at $15-20 per figure. So buy 2 figures and you're already paying an extra $30 minimum.

If you buy a lot of individual things from 4 Horsemen shipping will increase because it is more work for them. Shipping individual items isn't much work and fairly cheap. Shipping all-ins is actually easy for them as they come boxed together or did in the past. I would recommend playing around with your order if you're buying a lot of individual characters to try and get shipping down.

jscott991 09-13-2021 12:01 PM

Their postal shipping rates have dramatically increased. I've ordered from them for years, and if you start to get multiple figures, it will approach a doubling in price to use the USPS. I have no idea why that is unless they are passing on some kind of dimensional shipping charge that they didn't used to.

The FedEx rates for me are about the same as they have always been. If I get six figures from them, it's about $14 for FedEx and $21 for USPS. My last 9 figure order from them (the ML wave with the new Legion builders), the USPS charge was $14.

Nothing COVID-related should have resulted in much higher USPS rates. So there is something else going on.
