I think the electric effects just go around the shield without actually plugging into it. Hasbro isn't retarded enough to give Cap a shield with holes in it.

redfox 10-04-2021 08:27 PM

Really hope we get an updated Toad out of this anniversary deal. The OG Toybiz Toad was actually my first Marvel Legends purchase and entry into the line.

RodimusZX 10-04-2021 11:10 PM

Hmm I'll be very curious to see if we get any girls in this line.
Maybe they'll *gasp* make them sexy?
ML Rogue is still the closest thing we have to a "comic accurate" female ML figure imho. And that's a shame imo.

Tarkin 10-05-2021 05:42 AM

So Hasbro gives us a definitive looking comic Cap and the complaints are about holes in the shield? I’d give them credit for actually doing something different. Short of magnets, they aren’t going to achieve those bullet effects. It’s a fair trade off.

The bigger gripe here is the outdated clip they use to hold the shield to his arms. As the reviewer noted the plastic will just lose it’s grip or break. They should to use actual straps.

Lionheart 10-05-2021 05:57 AM

So... this seemed to come out of nowhere. Are they planning more of these 20th anni figs?

Sure they are

That's EXACTLY why I'm complaining. This IS the definitive comic Cap WITH a newly sculpted and bigger shield. The best yet. AND THEY PUT FUCKING HOLES IN IT. They get no "credit" what-so-ever for doing something so stupid.

Dormamu 10-05-2021 06:22 AM

I'm perfectly okay with the holes because the bullet effects are what fill it in.

But in a perfect world, I would agree with SuperWeird's assessment.

Which really anyone with a few magnets and some putty could do.

deecee4 10-05-2021 06:57 AM

As far as the holes on the shield, I'm sure there will be third party fixes but yeah, maybe shouldve came with 2 shields.

Benri4761 10-05-2021 08:06 AM

This doesn't look any better than my cardback Cap or my 80th anniversary Cap. I'll pass.

Yeah, congrats. Six other people already pointed that out before you.

That being said, let me edit my original quote...

You seem to have a lot of sand in your vagina over a toy. Are you okay? Did it upset you that you were too late to the party with your adorable little screenshot?

ghostbogey 10-06-2021 02:01 AM

Sometime...
"The Aggy" here...
Can be, so vicious =^)

Oh...
20th Cap looks good ;^)

Called it

As stated when this site showed the image, I had a feeling they were reenacting that OG Cap figure. The colors seem bright, tho, even for "comic version". and I don't believe the additions qualify the price. It's the best I've had a chance at, however, after missing the anniversary version.

JPs 10-06-2021 03:28 AM

That and some variety in female body type. Most are flat chested super slim with the same arms that have less articulation. Even just a few years ago seemed better, they aren't even consistent. Go from the punk Storm to the "classic" Storm. I think they should've made that 1 more accurate to her original appearance, too--in the face & such.
I can understand not doing the overboard comic thing but do they have to be flat? Even in the interest of having a variety.

I was saying that in a post not long ago & got several people on my back as if transportation difficulties should mean the company decides to lower its quality (which has already been lowering), not supply things well at all (when is this going to start getting back to normal?) & they haven't been supplying exclusives evenly at all even b4 pandemic, AND raising the price tag for seemingly no reason? Their own websites can't even supply pre-orders properly. I just don't see the price summing up to this compared to other figures.

I don't think they're necessarily "flat" Not compared to say Spider-Gwen, X-23, Jubilee, etc. Although they are teens so I guess it makes sense there.

I swear only Retro Rogue has any T & A. Also doesn't help that every movie ML female has absolutely no shape whatsoever.

Sorry, I'm not sure I see your issue.

Are you mad you can't have your figures apart of a porno? Because there are plenty of anime figures you can do that with. Buy those.

Sounds like guy was just asking for female body type variations. Equating women having breasts to porn sounds like your own hangups.

0reser0 10-06-2021 09:48 PM

Why not just give the figure a plain shield in the first place? Seems like someone from Hasbro should sober up, there's just no excuse for this.

Oh and keep up with the bitchin' and stuff, folks. I still have my popcorn.

idontknow 10-07-2021 05:34 AM

I love this figure and need it to complete my new classic avengers display.
I see that it will be out in Spring of 2022. I am newer to the preorder game, can anyone tell me what this usually means as far as when the preorder might be open? January?
