Doesn't Lady Spawn come with a ton of guns?

If you really want guns, there are a ton of cheap options on Etsy. Or Marauder Gun Runners. Or Grid Iron studios. Most are cheaper than a Spawn accessory pack would run you.

Black Arbor 11-22-2021 11:22 AM

Ol' "No Neck" Nightwing and his merry brood of vested goobers. Seriously, why is every one of them wearing a vest? And where's Robin's cape??

Designincase 11-22-2021 11:39 AM

Okay the method of how the heads are designed seems really prone to a FOV problem. So everyone looks like they have very wide jaws.

Next is the photography.
Um did no one notice how the diaper is going into the hip? Same with the little bit of paint on the torso.

Likely ditched the capes so they didn't have to program cape physics for Robin.

Harbinger 11-22-2021 12:15 PM

Gawds these designs are terrible in every way. Plus no weapons for jason? All these are a very easy pass.

IzzyTipsy 11-22-2021 12:27 PM

I actually love that Red Hood, just because Todd clearly is sticking his finger up at WB by including those handgun fingers.

Probably pass on these save for Batgirl, because I like me some Batgirl.

Truwe 11-22-2021 01:13 PM

Now I am the first to dog McFarlane figures but these character designs by WB are just awful.

Who on the right wants to censor guns in media?

Or you could just let Batman be a bro and actually kill them, rather than forever releasing them back into a hopelessly corrupt criminal justice system that will inevitably release them to murder more innocent people. Hell, you could just let the justice system actually do its job and execute them, rather than being eternally and hopelessly corrupt.

Pretty sure Cobra Commander has always been a pretty "equal opportunity" sort of supervillain, unless you're referencing some kind of Aubrey Sitterson insanity that previously escaped my notice.

Hey, if posting rainbow flags on your social media one month a year is all it takes to make people forget about the suicide nets intended to prevent workers from hurling themselves to their deaths from the upper floors of your Shenzen sweatshops...

Thank you for this common sense post. DC doesn't want to sell toy guns, but there are plenty of options for adult collectors who want to display figures that way. Maybe you'll need to use basic customization techniques to have compatible hands, but this is a fake problem.

Well, I remember a year or two back seeing it reported that Republicans brought to Trump's attention violence in video games, and were highlighting ones like Fallout 4 as examples as to why Congress and the WH needed to act.

Don't forget in the early 2000s all of a sudden anime was getting censored like hell like Cartoon Network's Disco light guns and editing out deaths even on their Midnight Run stuff. All during Republican leadership of the country.

The Right is more "don't censor guns IRL" but don't really want them in kid's media.

To quote Frost from aliens Whatre we aupposed to use man harsh language?

Trivial Psychic 11-22-2021 04:55 PM

Batgirl has some ridiculously tiny feet.

Hope they plan on painting her boots yellow at some point as well. I get that changes happen during the design and production stages, but the figure doesn't even match the one on the character card at all.

Mumble-bee 11-22-2021 05:36 PM

WTF with Robin's head. it's the worst I've seen since "Monkey face" Leia. and the lipstick??

EvilMonkeyPope 11-22-2021 06:00 PM

Batgirl looks like Jane Levy. I am okay with this.

hasbroherofan 11-22-2021 06:40 PM

I feel like we have some variation of this conversation every week now. The gun ban is a very specific knee jerk WB mandate in response to all the recent mass shootings. It has nothing to do with conservatives or “woke leftists” forcing McFarlane not to make toys with guns. Hasbro’s Marvel toys still come with guns and so do most other non WB IP toy lines.

TheBlueMarvel 11-22-2021 08:16 PM

^Sense-making is anathema on social media. Stop it. Now.

Plus, one good knee jerk deserves another even more jerky jerk of the knee.

lyasangi 11-23-2021 02:41 AM

What's up with the Red Hood's thigh gap? Again. The first figure had that too, the only reason I'm skipping both despite liking the look from the waist up.

So you're supposed to learn customization techniques and spend extra money on third party accessories or a $50 Spawn Lady you don't want to have your figures be somewhat accurate? I guess my little cousin needs to have me go buy him some third party guns so his Joker can shoot people?

That's stupid. Am I supposed to go buy a 3D printer and learn to 3D print figures to have an Oola for the Rancor?

Again - if your company sees guns as an issue maybe...don't make figures of characters who use them? Why are you as a company marketing figures of mass murderers to kids and that's OK as long as they don't include guns? You can't even go the Marvel route and give them Sci Fi blasters or something?

Warner wants their Batman figures out because he's their moneymaker but they also don't want to actually acknowledge what most Batman characters are - normal people who use guns. Maybe make more Superman or Wonder Woman characters then? Nope, not Warner's moneymaker.

Solrac333 11-23-2021 11:20 PM

At a glance, I want these. With a closer look, pass.

Chris Bot 11-24-2021 05:11 AM

Red Hood comes with finger guns but not actual guns. What a troll move lol.

jwheeler0805 11-24-2021 07:35 PM

Red Hood - nice
Robin and Nightwing - Look like a couple dudes doing cosplay of the characters, rather than the characters.
Batgirl - Pretty nice, but what the heck is up with McFarlane and the "side eye" thing all of a sudden (on her and the Robin)?

I'm a big Batman fan and have been seriously disappointed by the sculpts on so many of these McFarlane figs, whether face sculpts or proportions (e.g., heads too small for the body; legs too small for the upper body; arms too skinny for the torso, etc.). Was hoping they'd iron that out after the first wave or two they did but no such luck.

BarbaraGordon 02-16-2022 02:37 PM

Yikes, Nightwing's head may sit too high on the neck.
