All-in for the Arkham figures. Just recently picked up Arkham Batman, Joker, Deathstroke, & Killer Croc in anticipation for these. Really hope they round out more of the roster in future waves.

They were good for their time. Certainly better sculpt and more video game accurate than what McFarlane put out the first time.

I feel like Mattel did better than dcd with Arkham city catwoman, but let’s hope that mcfarlanes attempt will surpass both of them.

Outside of Arkham City, there are also AK versions of Batman, Arkham Knight, Scarecrow, and DLC Red Hood.

Hope there's an Origins Batman down the line. Hands down the best Batsuit in the Arkham series.

Haven't seen these around, yet. Thanks for the heads-up!

Sure thing. Just an FYI, AK Batman will probably be hard to find since its an older figure. Scarecrow and Red Hood haven't been announced yet, just photos from overseas that confirm them. Also, I found Arkham Knight at BAM a couple of months ago but have yet to seen him at Walmart or Target.

Yes finally, can’t believe it took so long.

Now we just need a proper Harley and ivy.

Swappable. Unmasked. Head.

you mean a Walmart exclusive unmasked gold label version

but yes, more Catwoman versions please Todd, too many Batmans and they're lonely

IzzyTipsy 08-13-2022 06:15 PM

Catwoman looks fantastic.

I own the old dcd Knightfall Catwoman, and although she’s extremely comic accurate and is one of the lucky figures to have more than nine points of articulation, it doesn’t hold up great anymore and could really use a dc multiverse redo.

Hmmm, for now I'm thinking I may stick to just one iteration of each character, so I'll probably pass on the AK Batman. Now, that just leaves me having to decide on whether if I want the Arkham Knight or the DLC Red Hood in the display. Kinda wish they had released his later look from the game that combined these two appearances.

Also, after seeing the Red Hood figure, I really hope McFarlane releases a Batgirl from the A Matter of Family DLC.

I'd like to see a realistic style Animated Catwoman based on the Arkham City skin myself.

Runamuck 08-14-2022 04:00 AM

speaking of Catwoman, I hope they do some sort of Classics line and we get another Catwoman in Balent purple.

Yoshi 08-14-2022 07:14 AM

I've never bought an entire wave of any line at once to my recollection, but that is likely to change with this one. I appreciate that McFarlane isn't making us buy something unrelated just to get the build-a-figure.

I wanted to get the essentials version, two actually, but never could find her for a decent price.

lowsugar 08-14-2022 06:27 PM

Knowing McFarlane, I'm surprised it's not another Batgirl/Wonder Woman. The DC Multiverse world is filled with 99% male figures and 1% female figures. Of the male figures, like 95% are Batman. Then you have 5% of the figures come packed with guns. The few female figures are made up of variants of Wonder Woman or Batgirl. WB suck so bad.

Maybe give use Death from the sandman series (comic version not Netflix version), Catwoman from Batman Returns movie, Supergirl from the 1984 movie, and so many other great DC female figures. Instead, we get WW/Batgirl over and over again.

EvilMonkeyPope 08-14-2022 06:41 PM

Considering Neil's & Todd's legal drama, I wouldn't hold your breath for Death or anyone specifically from Sandman.

At this scale Catwoman's goggles ought to be a removable piece so you can decide whether they're up or down.

I think I've shared this sentiment before, but there's a subtle genius to the McFarlane build-a waves being just the 4 figures in that there's obviously less characters you need to buy to complete the BAF and then they typically get to have a much stronger sense of a unified theme. If you complete a wave and put all 5 figures together it often feels more like a box-set than just a wave, which is probably exactly why McFarlane does turn around and sell some of them as sets like that.

I don't think I've ever seen it done at this scale for Catwoman, Mafex is the only company I can think of that's done goggle options for her and even then they just had to go the route of alternate heads. All of the removable goggles that come to my mind at around this scale tend to be a bit more bulky while Selina's are sleek, so to achieve the look they'd probably be too thin and then easily snapped or broken.

Sorry but thankfully that’s plastic fantasy territory and not DC’s.
