Literally every MCU movie featuring the Iron Man armor or costumes have put their own spin on them, that's been the way its been from literally the beginning. There are a lot of issues with the recent films (the overuse of comedy has already been brought up), but costume deviations have always been that way.

As for the design itself I'd prefer something sleeker, but I don't hate it. I dig the mecha/anime influence.
