Yeah. The Omega Spawn was the central antagonistic force in the Image United crossover event in 2009, he's a Hellspawn conqueror who the heroes of the Image Universe unite to stop from conquering earth. He's appeared again in the Chain Gang story arc in the Spawn comics last year. Then a completely different version of Omega Spawn appears in the Adventures of Spawn comics that's a robot Spawn sent from the future to kill Mammon.

I know..I always looked at those and go. "Wow that scale used to be so appealing to me. Then toys (Mcfarlane/Neca) got bigger"..Happy I'm getting these!

I don't usually hope for Rich people to be well (or be ill). Becuase they are rich they can get any medical help they need. BUT..If and when Mcfarlane passes who the hell will take over his company. Without an art director with a brain like his this company will collapse. I hope someone in his family has interest in taking over the business with artistic prowess to boot. Strange thought but I just think about stuff like this.

Omega Spawn looks great. Still want to see more of it though. Plague Spawn looks decent. I want to see more of it before i pull the trigger.

You only get She-Spawn no one else. I wonder if Todd won his suit against Gaiman over Angella if she'd be included in this line or would he exclude her because she'd turn kids into serial killers? It would only make the lawsuit even more laughable if he did that.

I'm surprised McFarlane didn't do Jacqui in his MK11 line so he could then do her in her She-Spawn outfit.

I know Todd didn't win, I was mostly imagining a what-if scenario where he won that suit instead of Gaiman, what would happen if the ruling went the other way? Would Todd have the same attitude towards Angela that he has towards many other female characters getting figures or would Angela be the Wonder Woman of his Spawn toy-line? We may never know because he lost that suit.

Just noticed how different the old nightmare spawn looks compared to this new one but 500 aftermarket price I can settle for this new Nightmare. Really regret not getting the older one when I had chance to get it one time when I saw it few years back for 100.

Yeah I saw a ton of those nightmare spawn at the store and was pretty removed mentally from collecting anything Mcfarlane at that point (the Curse of the Spawn statue was my breaking point). Back when the spawn boards still existed.

There's something about that King Spider guy, probably the color scheme, that makes me want to really get it on discount and customize it. I want to take that spider symbol off the face and glue a carrot nose and top hat on there. He looks like an evil snowman with a wreath scarf and I like it.

I ordered the lot last night, too. Pretty excited for these. Last year I sold off my old Nightmare Spawn for $250. I do miss him, but I needed the money, so I have no regrets, really. This new one will help, in any case.

I know most later McFarlane toys do fetch some good money in the after market, I never realized some could fetch that much. I also know the earlier waves of McFarlane toys aren't worth anything at all. I once saw some guy trying to sell them at flea market for $5 each, mint in package, and it was late in the day and he still had a bunch!

Yeah, the early stuff that was like a kids line, most are not anything. It's that mid range, after he switched to highly detailed statue style, that can cost a lot. Basically the pre-cursor to the entire adult collectible toy market we have today. Tons of variants, chases, alt colors. If you don't care about articulation, there is some really great stuff in there even by today's standards.

I went back and got some pieces, plus what I still had here, and did a photo shoot showing some of it off. During my eBay travels, there were stupid expensive pieces I saw.

I just saw someone Review Omega Spawn on Youtube. I just cancelled my order. While it looks great its the same size as Raven Spawn which isnt worth 50+ dollars. I cant in good conscience pay over 50 dollars or i should Violator price for a figure that is ultimately less ofna deal— Thats crazy to me.

While a part of me really wants this. If i buy this, i would be supporting Mcfarlanes attempt to double the price for no good reason on a "Standard" figure.

Like, Figuarts Vegeta, Gohan, Goku,Piccolo and Natuto are all around like 35-40 box anx not only are they Better quality, they have accessories( Limited of course)... yea. Just cant bite that Bullet. Plague and King Spider are fair prices so i will support them.
