Yup, blaming the customer always goes over well.

Where do you see this?

Anyway, I just needed to point out something I found ironic. Hasbro is all worried about plastic free packaging for recycling. The apartment complex I moved to doesn't do recycling. I have to pay a $50 fee if I want to have someone come and take my recycling away each time. HELL NO!! As such, my packages are still going to end up in a landfill. Yeah, great job Hasbro. Altering the packages only matters if recycling is available.

Just look up hasbro stock. Its not a secret.

I work at a government building, and of course we always have a recycle bin next to every trash bin. There was a coworker that's very diligent about recycling, whenever she sees recycle items in the trash, she'd take it out and put those into the recycle bin. One night I had to work late, and I watched as the late night cleaning crew rolled down the hallway with ONE large trash container, and dump both the trash bins and the recycle bins into the same trash container, and went on their way.

I never had the heart to tell her.

Have you ever looked up recycling land fills? Its nuts! And the cost of recycling is also outrageous. Its in many ways a big lie. More power to anyone trying to make this world a better place. Too bad everything everywhere makes it hard to do so.

Don't know if this will get Hasbro to lower prices in the future but no shit sherlock CEO nobody likes price increases

here you go this is where I found the quote

Quote:

“As expected, the third quarter is our most difficult comparison and was further impacted by increasing price sensitivity for the average consumer,” CEO Chris Cocks said in an earnings release.

Yup, just watched my garbage truck dump all the recycling in his truck with the garbage. The driver even told me it all goes to the same place now. China use to buy a lot of our recycling…..not anymore.

Of course I still pay a large “feel good fee” for recycling.

One thing you can do, is reuse items yourself. Jars, cans for tools and screws or what not.

Everyone on my street leaves their styrofoam on my porch, they know I use it for dioramas with toys and trains.

I'm more impressed that everyone on your street know you have dioramas with toys and trains!

Real small street. We have all known each other for a decade or more. They all know I’m the “toy guy”. Works great, because they watch for packages for me when I’m not home and there is usually always someone at their home nearby so the street is “watched” well. Oddly enough, there is another toy collector at the end of our street….huge “muppets” guy.

NICE!

I'm not sure about some of the neighbors on my street. If they know I have a toy collection in my house, my collection might be gone the next day!

... Palisades Muppets? I had that whole line for a while then sold it, probably the coolest figures I've ever collected :D

Damn man. I've personally always wanted that Swedish Chef Kitchen but that's a pretty expensive aftermarket piece along with that Diamond Select Buffy the Vampire Slayer library set.

Comedian 10-19-2022 02:58 PM

Yup. Pallasides. I think he has all of them, save some exclusive that was so high he sold it . He said it wasn’t needed for the set.
