Even as a teenager the albino guy with the red bandana and shades freaked me out... like why is his hands like that. *shivers*

I stopped reading X-men comics around 1991 or 1992. Stopped reading Spiderman a few years later when they brought back Peter’s parents as robots. Stopped reading all comics shortly after that and it wasn’t until the x-men movies that I even gave Marvel another look… but by then they dropped all pretense of kids adventures in favor of tele-novella level drama requiring the purchase of a years worth of books.

So no, I don’t recognize Random. My sincere apologies to Comedian if I have endangered his childhood in any way. ;)

I started reading Marvel comics in the early 90’s up to the mid 00’s, Random is imprinted on my brain because he was a recurring character in X Factor, but that was in the 90’s when Marvel comics were arguably just pumping out dog shit to see what stuck, so you didn’t miss much. I don’t collect ML, but I must say seeing them putting out a Random figure put a smile on my face.

I’m ok webz, I’ve been holding my stuffed glow worm to get through.

There are so many more than just here, that need updating.

I think i might keep stryfe, maybe Vertigo, and sell the rest off.

Harbinger 11-16-2022 04:39 AM

I wish random had come with an alternate normal arm. Ill get this for random vertigo and pretty boy and offload stryfe and zero.

Oh wow that’s brought back some memories. I had all the figures from the pic I’ve shared, I’ve got no idea where they ended up but I certainly don’t have them anymore, I also had the Blackbird and an oversized Apocalypse that had a projector with stills from the show. I loved the Iceman figure more than any other, I thought he looked the coolest and one day after excessive overplaying his arm fell off and little boy me was devastated, I’ve never forgotten it. If I remember right as well Gambits coat was like a weird plastic/papery substance.

Let's see, first the one one, I had Cannonball, the blue/silver Cable, Beast, spy Wolverine, Omega Red, Apocalypse, Iceman, Nightcrawler, Sauron the Silver Storm, Magneto, Prof X, Cyclops, and Sabertooth.

For the second; Cable, Shatterstar, Deadpool, Stryfe, Cannonball, the same Cable, Wolverine, Iceman, Sabertooth, Gambit, Sauron, Magneto, spy Wolverine, Omega Red, and Apocalypse.

Okay, I know I repeated those guys, but I never realized they showed the same dudes a few times over on the packages before.

Comedian 11-16-2022 07:11 AM

I had all of them. Every single darn thing. When I moved from my parents to my house….I spent months before the wedding getting everything boxed and bagged and tagged. I had some bags to sell as well. My father told me someone bought all my marvel guys….I thought ….I didn’t sell the marvel stuff, we’ll when I started displaying at my new house I opened a bag of spawn figures I wanted to sell. I counted correct but brought the wrong bag. Ever single toybiz marvel figure in early to mid 90s gone. I had all the avengers as well. Killed me. I feel that hasbro and even some of the toybiz legends have filled that void, but every now and again I want to display my black bird and sentinel with all my danger room sets and figures……sad face.

Last I looked none of them seem hard to get but with legends getting closer to $30 each….decisions must be made.

I don't remember Random being a villain...

His name is Random!

T0ySick 11-16-2022 08:37 AM

Pre-ordered the set for my brother. Sculpts are not great. But the characters are all characters we remember as kids.

He kinda pulled a heel turn for a bit.

Monari 11-16-2022 09:09 AM

$200 Canadian dollary-doos for this? Are they insane?

Cyclopswc 11-16-2022 09:22 AM

Not defending Hasbro, but this pack's pricing is actually quite "fair" by today's standard. A lot of Marvel Legends single figures are now $25 each, with or without BAFs. $25 x 5 is $125. Then considering Zero comes with a ring (the Target Defender Strange with the ring was considered "deluxe" and costed $32), this pack is actually not marked up by today's Hasbro standard.

Yeah, I got rid of my entire Toybiz collection of those X-Men figures and the Spider-Man animated stuff. Sold them to a local shop for $120 for all 80 figures only for them to sell them at $30 a piece.

Your best bet is to watch eBay when these start releasing. A number of folks will sell the figures individually. You’ll still pay a premium, but there will be a number of fair offers at the very beginning when the non-scalping collectors are just trying to recoup costs from the individual figure(s) they wanted.

Yeah I'll probably have to do that, however as primarily a MISB collector, it means he'll unfortunately have to be out of box :(

I know right - seems a no brainer too.

They made a Deaths Head II. I bought that when my brother wasn't even collecting marvel.. great figure. Always thought deaths head was way too cartoony to look good in figure form.

Death's Head I looks great and he'll do fine when they eventually get to him.

He was a Bounty Hunter anti-hero type guy before joining X-Factor.

With this figure and him also about to come out in Marvel Snap, part of me hopes there's about to be some kind of a resurgence for him.
