Rocketeer and Betty is out of stock... :cry I don't know anything about Rocketeer other than he is a character like DC's Adam Strange or something, but i really wanted that Betty Page figure. I couldn't just spare that extra money for it though because of combined release schedule of Mafex, S.H.Figuarts, Figma and Revoltech. What are you gonna do, you can't have them all.

You know, the design of this figure reminds me of how accurate the film version of the Rocketeer was to the comic design, and how much better the jet pack looked in the film, lol. Kinda makes me think that that was a joke in the film with the jet pack being mistaken for a vacuum cleaner, because that rocket on his back here looks like a purple and grey vacuum cleaner.XD That aside, I'll stick to the Diamond Selects movie figure for like $25 to $30. Even $70 for just good old Cliff ad his dog is still way too high, but what do I know? Apparently that set with Betty sold out entirely at the full asking price so I guess the Betty Page figure was a big sales draw. 9_9

Rocketeer is more like the Shadow or the Phantom, as most of his enemies are regular criminals and without the rocket pack he is an pretty ordinary guy. Adam Strange has more in common with spacefaring heroes like Flash Gordon and Green Lantern. I recommend the Rocketeer movie, which was directed by Joe Johnston who also did Captain America: The First Avenger. It has a similar look and feel.

I want this but I don’t like the jet pack. May have to buy Diamond Select one for the movie jet pack and put it on this. I know this purple one is comic accurate, I just prefer the movie jet pack.
