Maybe this is a dumb question, but where is the Ahsoka figure "carbonized?" Is it a secret?

I'm not a Star Wars collector but have still heard a lot about really bad price increases, same with Marvel. Do we know if this more about a sales slump (and they're trying to make up the difference by charging more to fewer buyers) or is Disney raising their royalty rates again and Hasbro is having consumers eat the cost?

IIRC, Disney wants a base 25% of MSRP to go into their pocket, but will drop it down for companies they've got good history with or just move a whole lot of product. Hasbro appeared to have one of the better percentages of any of Disney's licensees. But with Hasbro losing the Disney Princess license (it's back at Mattel) there's a decent chance that Hasbro has been downgraded to the standard percentage.

I get that it’s Ahsoka’s show but she was the wrong choice for this set. Sabine wears more armor and would’ve looked better carbonized. Plus, this is the fifth time we will have gotten this Ashoka figure (Mando single, Mando 2 pack, credit collection, Ahsoka single, carbonized).

Her clothes. It’s easier to see on the armor pieces on her forearms and shins. But if you look at her clothes, they’re shinier than normal. It doesn’t look very good when the clothes are so dark. The carbonized Vader and Tie Pilot changed their overall color to blue and the carbonized look is easier to see on them.

I think it’s a mix of store exclusive and lower production run. Regular Black Series figures cost $25 while store exclusives cost $28. I haven’t seen any numbers but I doubt carbonized figures get huge productions runs when compared to regular deco figures.

"Exclusive" seems like "organic" at the grocery store, used frequently as an EXCUSE to jack the price. Maybe a better label is "EXCUSIVE." :rolleyes:

At the first mention of "carbonized," I had this image of Ahsoka encased in carbonite. How's that for a more interesting plot twist?

The Black Series Sabine and Ahsoka have an approximate ship date of September 26th on Pulse. None of the other figures from the show have had their ship date moved up.

Why Hasbro didn't handle the helmet for TVC Sabine the same way they did Koska and Bo (as an alternate head as opposed to removable?) It's pretty frustrating because the figure itself is a work of art (it looks way better than the Black Series counterpart) yet the helmet is so comically large on the figure that it's distracting and ugly.

The helmet for TVC Sabine is comical, what an incredible failure. I don't understand how a professional toy design team could let that through. It is so obvious that if it was going to look like this, it needed to be an alternate head as opposed to a removable helmet. Like they have done for several other female Mandos.

I agree that overall it looks way superior to the Black Series version, which makes the helmet that much more frustrating.
