I have a question about the Go-Onger candy toy mecha. I saw that for Power Rangers RPM, Bandai is releasing/has released "Micro Megazord" versions of the High Octane Megazord and the RPM versions of GunBir-Oh and SeiKyuu-Oh (called the Torquemax and Velocimax Megazords, respectively, IIRC). Does anyone know if those are the same as the Go-Onger candy toys? They looked like they were on a similar scale. If they're the same, I think I'll pick them up if I see them (and then hope for the last three engines).
|
Far as I can tell, the Torque Megazord is a completely new design. I'd need to see better pics to tell you if they were the candy toys, but going by the Gunbiroh it's looking doubtful.

So it seems as if the Dragonzord mentioned at Toyark last year has definitely been cancelled. Does anyone know the status of the 4" MMPR figures (which are still on pre-order status at BBTS)?

Sad about the Dragonzord, but since I never got around to buying the Megazord, I'm not that put out.
Also, recently completed my Battlewing Megazord and although he's still a brick in terms of articulation (par for the course with this line), he's still pretty damn impressive just standing there. Also, I like how all the Zord parts can be stored on him somehow so there is no kibble left over. Well, except for those three useless Rangers figures that come with the Support Zords. ;) |
I'm pissed I lost some of my thunderzord parts. Plus my red dragon zord broke too. Tigerzord was my favorite.
|
Man, I used to have everything from the first series. Making the Ultrazord was epic! My Megazord's from the recent re-issue, but I do still have the original five rangers plus the white minus his vest and Saba. Sad...
|
Finally realised that BBTS has been teasing me with the 'pre-order' status of the 4" figures. Really, the 'Power Rangers 2010' should have been a clue. Found that they were all released last year, albeit in limited numbers. I now have all 7 rangers in 4" scale from eBay!
Also, after Bandai teasing us last year with the Dragonzord reissue business, I decided to wait until SDCC to see whether there was any news, there was none so finally bought him on eBay as well. Given that I wanted this toy back in 1993, it's almost the toy I've waited longest to buy (18 long years!!!). (The toys which I waited longest for were G1 Snarl and Swoop - released in 1985 and finally bought in early 2003.) I've now got all the Power Rangers stuff I want! |
I still need to pick up a Clawzord and Octozord to get caught up on PR Samurai. My Samurai Megazord is getting lonely... :(
Oh, well, once I've got money for them, I'll pick them up. He'll have to wait until then. |
I would love to get in to the new Power Rangers Samurai line. I can find them easily just at this point with all the other lines I collect and my unrivaled love of classic PR merchandise I just can't :(
|
They're actually a lot of fun to fiddle with and combine into all the different options. The value of each set goes up with each additional set you buy.
So far, I've picked up all the PR Samurai/Shinkenger ones that have been released at US retail. While the main Megazord does have five Zords to play with, I really like the Claw Zord (Ebi) as a stand-alone toy. Hopefully, Bandai puts out US versions of Kyoryu (Dinosaur), Ushi (Ox) and Daigoyou (Paper Lantern), though that could be a pipe dream for me. I'd just like to be able to build a US version of Super Samuraihaoh someday. Is that too much to ask? |
I k ow what you mean I used to love sitting around taking apart and putting back together my various megazords
|
I wish they wouldn't have canceled the 2010 MMPR line. I wanted a Dragonzord :(

That's pretty awesome Do Boy! You need to keep that shit in pristine condition now.
|
It's actually sitting in a Star Case above my Comp as we speak(type). I can't stop looking at it lol. This is prolly the prize piece in my WHOLE collection.
|
That's pretty cool dude. Pretty cool indeed. As a fan nothing beats meeting the guy who played the infamous Green Ranger.
|
Man he was a real cool dude. I was prolly the only one in that whole Expo to have him sign a Green Ranger figure lol. Everyone else there seemed to be hardcore MMA/UFC fans.
|
This is what I am staring at right now lol

You can't help but respect that kind of modesty... unlike that ***hole who used to be the Blue Ranger. |
Holy crap, Do Boy... You have my undying envy right now!
Been so long since I had any of my Power Ranger figures, they're all gone now... But had all of the original 12" Rangers, and had the Dragonzord to boot! |
