You know, after really studying that WWHulk, I guess he is all new. I thought he shared the Juggernaut's torso, but Juggs doesn't have that level of texturing or a belly-button! Maybe he'll actually be bigger than the Series 1 Hulk. Don't know how he would fit into the blister that big and with all those accessories.

I don't think so. SM2099 has the same flared ankles and skinny abdomen as every other Black Spidey based figure.

Check out the thighs.

Dope! Did someone say something about the Spiderman 2099 being a different mold? It looks the same but I could be wrong. I would love to see a new mold, but I've got all the Spidys with this mold and it's kind of a collection in it's self.

It might be the same torso, legs and head, but it's new lower arms at the very least. Also yup, the new female body allegedly will be premiered with X-23. So can't wait.

Yeah, its the same thighs as Black Spidey. Compare:

I think its just the shadowing and Hasbro's photoshopping throwing you off. It wouldn't make sense NOT to use the BS body for 2099. Then again it is Hasbro.

And, I was wrong about WWHulk's torso, so I'm not above being wrong!

Saint Phe 10-01-2010 09:15 PM

You might very well be right. But the head, the hands and still even the thighs just scream Dark Spidey to me.

SDCC pic of Spidey.

Saint Phe 10-01-2010 11:52 PM

Okay..that SDCC pic isn't as tricky. It does look more like the Black Spidey mold. It's getting hard to tell with these things.

Shin Densetsu 10-02-2010 11:09 AM

Hmm looks like the black Spiderman body but with retooled torso(sans back ports for spider legs) from Iron Spiderman. Decent...but wish it was an all new mold.

Evantainment 10-02-2010 12:49 PM

I'll get Spidey 2099 for sure!

jestermon 10-04-2010 05:23 PM

Wow, I was looking at the main picture and before reading I thought that was Archangel with some clear webby junk, I just got up so I guess the colors blurred.

I wish the Universe IM were as nice as the IM2 toys, these just seem too boney.

WW Hulk looks nice, losts of stuff I wonder if they made it to not hinder his movement?

Probably one with helmet later, and lots of the accessories I could see being reused as Skaar.

Prem1x 10-07-2010 07:18 AM

I would guess they use the WWHulk base instead of the Juggernaut for the Hulk coming in the Avengers 3(5) pack.

Actually from looking at the pic it looks like it is the same body style used for the Secret Wars Thing, note the similar knee joints and what not

Thing does not have thigh swivels though, while the Hulk in the 3 pack looks like it does.

Spacemafia 10-11-2010 11:04 AM

Thing doesnt have double jointed knees either....
