Thanks for the update. I'd like to find this eventually along with the scorpion and lizard.

If you look at the shots of the brock "variant" everyone is talking about you will notice the gargan eyes are sculpted but not yet painted. Clearly this screams to me that there is no variant rather we were shown shots of an incomplete product.

I reckon the person who painted it up didn't know any better.

Another thing I meant to say is that this is (I think), the scariest 3.75" Marvel figure out there! The figure does genuinely look quite creepy, which considering this is the kid friendly (neighbourhood) Spider-Man line, is quite impressive.

I just realized a month ago that the "Brock variant" batch of pictures didn't really came from Hasbro.

If you're familiar with the "Gum 5" blog, you can see that it came from there. The guy just bought a regular Stretch Strike Venom early (he's from HK) and had his brother to paint the figure for him... into a Brock version. Some people (including myself) misinterpreted it as an official prototype from Hasbro.
