"Yesssss." :haha

But seriously, I'm really stoked about getting another crack at that Big Convoy mold, too. I just hope FunPub can give us pricing and other details soon. I want to make sure I've got the funds set aside.

How is that figure? I should've picked it up back in the day.

bmorr 04-30-2012 02:50 PM

i missed out on the early part of beast wars. I didnt really get into the line until the transmetals/fuzors showed up. but polar claw i think is still pretty sought after.

Barefootabe 04-30-2012 07:41 PM

polarclaw's not the most complex beast wars out there but i like him. i have a few beast machines and transmetals but theres just somthing about the classic line that i love

trebleshot 05-01-2012 06:11 AM

I was lucky enough to pick up Polar Claw a few years back at a LCS. Fun figure, and his gimmicks don't get in the way of his movement, nor do they screw up his beast and robot modes.

Alright, by way of the MU thread and my mystery box that I got from my grandma of toys she got at some random sale.. here are the thing I believe to be beast wars/transformer toys. Are any of them desirable? Or should I include them in the bag of random stuff I'm now taking to the local shop for trade in value? Identifying help on the two big ones? I'm completely lost. :)

what youve got there is a mixture of power rangers, bionicle, and BW/BM.In terms of Beast Wars youve got:
Beast Machines Optimus Prime
Transmetal Rampage
Transmetal 2 Megatron

By the looks of it there all incomplete.

quinten182 12-23-2013 03:02 PM

Haha.. well, I could have guessed they were incomplete, but are these better off just taking to the local shop? Or you think anyone here would want them?

bmorr 12-23-2013 03:38 PM

possbibly rampage if he at least has all his legs intact. Megatron is worthless without his wings

I had a number of G1 figures when I was kid handed down from my brother and watched a bunch of tapped G1 episodes in the early '90s so I already loved Transformers, but my full introduction was Beast Wars, in Grade 5. It was just about the deepest & slickest show around when it appeared on YTV in Canada, and was just mindblowing as hell when being 11 & they introduced the Ark at the end of season two , Megatron looming over G1 Prime in his chair. Also the flyover of all the downed G1 characters Megatron did (flyover of Soundwave), just awesome. I was blown away that it was tied to the original cartoon (prior to knowing about the Marvel continuity & now the variety of storylines that exist), and appreciated the little other G1 tidbits (Starscream's spark, Golden Disk, Ravage transforming into a tape & the original G1 noise), giving a sense of vast mythology.

The toys themselves were ridiculously sweet I thought. Real action figures that had poses & pieces that could pop off! The first ones were kinda close to the first season of the show (I remember their weird mutant faces they had, particularly that Waspinator had a more robot head on his figure) but by the Transmetals.... they are still some of the best Transformer figures. The accuracy & transformations on Primal & Megatron were crazy. I still remember the awe that the figures looked exactly like the show both robot & beast (so much chrome) & transformed the same way it looked on screen. Good memories. Beast Machines was cool, but the toys were hit or miss. Never really got into the later Beast Wars series, like mutants & reissues.

I still regret selling my Transmetal Rampage & Depthcharge. God dammit.
