I saw this movie yesterday and ADMITTEDLY, I, the mighty Shin Densetsu, of Asgardian and Ronin Warrior tiger blood, MAY buy some figures.

However I have yet to find one that I want IMMEDIATELY. Why?

ODIN HAS NO HELMET!

WTF! All King Odin from wave 3 lacks helmet, in fact he's just a repaint of the wave 1 Odin! ODIN DESERVES BETTER.

Sure he wasn't onscreen as much as his sons but hell his intro was BAD ASS and he needs that damn helmet. A horse would be cool too, one that can stand on its hind legs, like in ODIN'S AWESOME $%^&*ING INTRO!

King Loki and Thor, both with helmets, I might buy. Heimdall I'll most likely buy too.

why no Balder in the film? Excuse my comic ignorance, but from what I recall, weren't they boys?

He isn't near as fat as he should be.

I was wondering that too. He's Thor's half brother but not even mentioned in the movie as far as I can remember.

As boys, it was Loki and Thor, not Thor and Balder. I was hoping for SOME sort of nod to Balder or Tyr.

More then likely he will be in THOR 2 along with Hela and Enchantress. That's my bet anyway.

The earliest draft of the script had Balder getting killed in the pre-credits sequence. I suspect he'll never show up in the movies now. It'd be too weird suddenly explaining "Oh hey Thor, here's your other brother/best friend/hero of Asgard that just happened to not give a damn about that whole mess a while back with Loki, your exile and all that."

Plus, Fandral pretty much seemed to fulfill the same kind of role Balder would have presented (Master Swordsman and "level-headed" member of the Warriors' Three). So adding Balder now would be redundant with Fandral, and arguably a little with Sif and Thor himself.

to be honest i wanted all the thor figures before seeing the movie and after seeing how badass the movie was i doi want them even more.

i managed to get the sword spike thor off ebay about 2 months ago but dont have any otheres yet as they dont seem to sell them in england save for a few comic book shops in london who only have the deluxe ones and are charging silly prices for them, and ebay doesnt seem to offer them at accaptable prices either.

i was really chuffed to discover they are releasing heimdall, i think he might be the figure people are looking forward to the most. he was wicked in the movie.

Exactly how I feel. They aren't perfect but these are some pretty sweet figures. The movie Thor is the first Thor figure I've ever owned.

Phil Coulson for sure. Throw him in a multi-pack (ala Sam Jackson's Fury). Don't think he'd do commercially well alone, but as a throw in? For sure.

I'll probably get a few Frost Giants after seeing it. They were pretty cool.

The movie also made me want the Walmart FG/Loki pack even more.
