To me, gaming peaked when 16 Bit systems were the most powerful. Games and game styles for NES, SNES, and Genesis were my favorites. With Sonic 2, and Sonic 3 being amongst my alltime favorite games ever. and still are.
Jurassic Park and Aladdin for Genesis were wicked fun, too.
On NES, Super Marios 1 and 3 of course, and Legend of Zelda. (Really wanted to see the original LoZ updatded for DS). TMNT3: The Manhatten Project was also one of my top favorites.

I don't care for the more modern style games. I don't like following the character from behind in 3D environments, like the modern Sonics and Marios.
I really don't like the shooters, like Transformers War for Cybertron, or Call of Duty.

But of the modern set of games, I absolutely love the Pokemon games. From the original Red, all the way to Black & White.
The Animal Crossing franchise is also a major favorite.
But the games I have the most fun playing, are the Lego games. Lego Indianna Jones is my favorite, with Lego Batman, and Harry Potter coming in second and third, and Star Wars last. (I don't have Pirates or Indy 2, and I only have Clone Wars on 3Ds, so I don't rank them)

The last game I bought, was Green Lantern on Wii. It isn't what I'd call a bad game at all... but I was fairly dissapointed. There was a lot of room for improvement. It did feel like a throwback to the Genesis, which I enjoyed. And I loved the more obscure references, like Ranx being a location. But the game is just really small, no animated cut scenes, and completely unable to genuinely play any characters outside of Jordan breaks it. Worth $15, if you ever found it marked down. But not the full price.

My favorite video game is Burger Time.

Depends if you're going nestaligic, for a certain system or overall best game played.... I currently have a ps3 and wii, but I've had a regulse nes, snes, sega, gameboy, ps1,ps2,dreamcast. I enjoy ufc,MK9, little big planet,gran turismo 5, dj hero, heavenly sword, nbastreets, older games duck hunt, super mario 3, ultimate mk 3 for snes, sonic games, and there used to be this cool comicbook game where you drew the next scenes. Dreamcast was sonic, MK gold, crazy taxi.

Ha nice.. yeh only Canadian not into hockey games... I watch it, just suck at the games, last time I bought 1 was nhl 97/98 with Foresburg on the cover in the Colorado colors. and on the pc no less back when windows 98 was the shit! haha good old dialup!

Well just found out that Carmageddon is coming back next year. It is going to be a downloadable game on consoles. and from what I can see in the teaser picture, it will be the first Carmageddon re-done in todays graphics.

Can't wait for a trailer!!

There is no way for me to pick a single game but Resident Evil is my FAVORITE SERIES EVER. I can't wait for Operation: Raccoon City and to see what they do with Resident Evil 6. I'm pulling for a Chris and Leon team up.

Just a heads-up: the first gaming system I owned was a PlayStation 2 at 13 years old. Say and think what you will...my parents weren't exactly big on games.
