Three MU figures alone would be $24. You're paying $2 less, plus these are store exclusive figures.

How much do you actually think would be a fair price?

Generally, the more you buy the cheaper it should be. And no accessories in the Spider-Man pack is a pretty big bummer. I don't think the price is outrageous, but these really shouldn't be more than $20.

I doubt it.
These would be more like the G.I. Joe exclusives. Probably they would be on sale for $19.99.
Someone did find them for that price at their TRU.
Wolverine only has one kind set. There are no other sets like that. These there are already 2 different ones & there is supposed to be another.
The lack of accesories for the Spidey set is disappointing. It wouldn't have been too hard for them to add Spidey's web or flames from the Human Torch. Not sure how they would get Iceman something.

Can we get a DPCI for them?

And yeah I wish at least two of the figures had accessories but oh well. I still think at the rate TRU does sales on 3 packs though, we will see this cheaper periodicly. The joe troop builder 3 packs went on sale periodicly as well.

No accessories does seem rather odd. I thought they were part of the mold.

As for what they could give Iceman, I'd say the ice board his XO:W figure came with would be fine.

Spidey set UPC 653569433798
Soldiers & Henchmen set UPC 653569433804

Yeah they could have given Iceman the board from XOW. However they always dislike using stuff from different lines. The only reason Hydra agent has the 25th Joe webgear & gun is because that line is over. They could have easily used the Joe's M-16 w/ grenade launcher but they made their own mold.

What about the TRU DPCI? Should be on the receipt. The UPC won't help in searching.

should be like a 5-7 digit number.

C.I.A.D. 07-23-2009 09:51 AM

I'm all over that Spider-Man 3 pack for pure nostalgia reasons...

I wonder if I can find a pair of SW: ESB funderoos that I can sport while opening this pack in front of the T.V. on a Saturday morning! :D

Its a 6 digit code used the stores use for tracking and placing orders.

If you call the store and tell them that its an 'exclusive' Marvel universe 3 pack and ask for the number they give it to you.

I left mine in the car with the wife today. Also helps to ask when the trucks come in (twice a week) so you can call or be there first thing in the AM when they open.

Yes that number, but not all stores have it when you call and ask for it, but they can still look it up if you give it to them. Hence why I need the number. A single store can also use that number to check other stores on the system. It can also tell you if that number is coming in on the truck on the nearest shipping day.

In fact most employees will just tell you it's sold out, or they don't carry it, simply because they can't find it or don't even know what it is. Whereas if you give them the number, they can just type it in the system, and give you the correct answer. As opposed to just BSing their way through cause they don't know.

As I've stated before, I don't have a high opinion of TRU, their employees around here have never been helpful and the one time I found a store with worthwhile knowledgable employees, they fired em. So yeah, the TRUs around here are worthless unless you know the numbers yourself.

Prem1x 07-23-2009 01:37 PM

Tried 3 TRU this week and none were competent enough to discover the SKU for these packs. One did find the Wars 2-pack but I re-explained I was looking for the 3-pack. I'm thinking maybe "multi-pack" might have been a keyword I should have given them.

toylad 07-23-2009 02:07 PM

DPCI is target only

Autobot_Goldbug 07-23-2009 02:46 PM

All that is on my receipt are the UPCs.
Whenever TRU.com lists them they should also list the TRU stock number.

No it's not.
Though other stores use different names for it, it's all the same for their internal inventory with the numbers.

DPCI, SKU, etc.

Sadly if it's not on the receipt (double checked my own receipts, only sale items show the 6-digit ones T_T ) it's on the tag on the shelf then or yeah, will have to wait till it's listed on the site. T_T

What's the exact name of the item on the receipt? That should make it easier to find the SKU in the system when I visit the store. (The name on the receipt is the same they use in the system.)

3PK 3.75IN MARVEL UNIVRS
The slideshow at SDCC said they would be out in fall. I wonder if the ones I found were the 1st batch that somehow got through the system early.

Could be, and thanks, that should make it easier to get the inventory number from them to look now. =D

Then again Fall could just be the full saturation date, and some are getting them in now as they have room for them. My stores are still clearancing out some of the bigger ironman and hulk stuff, so maybe they don't have the room for them yet either. But hopefully once I ask with this they can check the driveable distance stores too. =D

You'd be amazed how much a difference between Universe and UNIVRS could make in searching. =D

nitewing73 07-27-2009 10:52 AM

22.99 huh? I may holdoff and just get Firestar on Ebay or something.

Crow1223 07-27-2009 08:05 PM

Hey guys, just to clear something up, at TRU it's called a skn number, and it is always 6 digits. If it happens to look like it's only 5 digits, you have to add a zero to the front. The DC for the TRU's in the 7701 are just got the three packs and should start shipping soon. I imagine the others will as well. I will get the skn number tomorrow and post in on here so you can all call and harass your local TRU's.

trebleshot 07-27-2009 08:40 PM

^ Thanks for the help, and welcome to the Toyark!

SKN = probably equals "stock keeping number". Other merchants its SKU for "unit".

So, My TRU is 7011, that not in 7701's DC is it?

Also, is it accurate that the SKN will only keep inventory at the 3-pk level and not differentiate between the Spidey version and the Soldiers version?

Crow1223 07-28-2009 11:34 AM

7701 supplies to any store in the 7000 area, so yes yours would be one of those. I went into a local one and they had all three 3-pks. They come 12 in a case. 4 of the Henchmen, 4 of Spidey and his Amazing Friends, and 4 of the 70th anniversary Sufer, IM, and Daredevil. The skn is 670990. That applies to the case, it's not the individual UPC's. Also they had the new Iron Man animated line in stock. The skn is 580344. Those numbers work nationwide as well as on the website. Good luck and happy hunting!!

Runamuck 07-28-2009 02:19 PM

Ah, but you did not get the 70th Anniversary 3-pack. ;) We just got these 3 packs in, as well as the 70th anniversary at the store I work at.

And I have not found anything on the 70th through google at all. What's up with that..

That's what I needed. Thanks! =D

Them being $2 less than retail says something. Because exclusives in general, especially TRU's, are more expensive than if you were to get them separately at retail.

At one point, the TRU 3-pack was known as the Marvel Heroes 3-pack. Apparently they've changed the name. Seems they've done that with the Invaders set too. It's called 70th Anniversary on HTS.

Prem1x 07-29-2009 08:46 AM

Got mine today. They had 1 more S&AF, 1 more S&H ($22.99 ea) and 3 more $29.99 untitled packs (w DD, SS and IM).
