I am LOVING the re-releases of older figures [Punisher, Daredevil, Bullseye, Magneto, Hulk, ect]. I am honestly overwhelmed from all the new stuff they are releasing! I am for sure using BBTS now [not by choice] to get these figures! [I am not patient enough for a 50/50 chance of them making them to Canadian shelves]. Other characters are disappointing [GAMBIT] for the lack of re-making the mold. God damn my credit card will be screaming for mercy due to Hasbro. Surprisingly, I am not as excited for the Legends figures as I thought I would be [they feel like DCUC, which is more than fine, just I don't see it blending well with the rest of my Legends figures].

All in all, this is very exciting, what I am wanting is as fallows

Moonknight & Ant Man
Daredevil and Bullseye [!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!]
Adam Warlock vs Thanos

Astonishing Wolverine
Magneto.

I only list these because they may be released before the end of the year? If anyone knows the estimated release dates for all the figures, let me know ;).

I gotta say, between kotobukiya making an X-23 statue I actually like, and the MU showings. I'm overwhelmed. I'm calling it now for me. Best SDCC EVER!

Might be the jubilee, nova, and beast squeeing still talking though.

All I can say is, if I wasn't going to go broke before from MU figures, I definitely am now. I am glad they spaced them decently apart for that reason, but damn. This is going to be one expensive 2 years.

MU has a shit ton of offerings I need to get.
Thundercats all the new figures of new characters.
Voltron new lions and new voltron
X-23 new statue. (these ain't cheap!)
New amazing spider-man, new avengers cap.

Yup, my wallet is going to need CPR by the end of next year. Pure and simple.

I just hope they don't do a green Fin Fang Foom as the SDCC 2012 exclusive. Although it still wouldn't be nearly as bad as the comic book accurate SDCC 2011 Sentinel exclusive.

Scarecroodle 07-24-2011 01:25 AM

There really is a lot to look forward to: Jubilee, a new Fin Fang Foom, Arnim Zola, the new comic packs, and so on. It's really hard to say whether it's going to be a really strong year although there are a ton of individual items that I want. Legends wave 1 is kind of a mixed bag, wave 2 looks a lot nicer. Although I'm definitely excited I'm not nearly as floored as I thought I'd be (although, again, Arnim Zola is an awesome reveal). MU is still really leading the pack.

The one big thing I dislike is how little information we seem to get for lines like the 3.75" Spiderman. It gets really cool additions not covered by MU now and again but, at the same time, it looks destined to fail just given the number of variant Spiderman pegwarmers you see everywhere.

I agree with all that you said. I collect MU but the Zola BAF is very tempting. On the other hand, how awful is the SM line? It is much like IM2 - creating every different variation on Spidey to the point that no one cares, and then limiting the bad guys to just a pitiful few each year. And the REALLY sad thing is that MU often has better or missing characters that probably should have been in the Spider-Man line - such as Mary Jane and Elektro and the superior Hobgoblin and Green Goblin figures. It looks like two new villains will be introduced in the line (Lizard and new Scorpion) but, once again, the more creative Spidey figures are in MU - Bag-man and Scarlet Spider. (I will give credit to the Spier-Man line for one figure: Ben Reilly Spider-Man, who I had to search way too long to find, although his sculpt could almost be a stand in for Spider-Girl!) It seems they should just fold this line into MU and continue to release new villains and superior variations on SM instead of having this kind of lousy line with a few highlights.

will ghost rider get variant? i like rider but to see him wih blue flames dont look right to me red & yellow looks perfect not sure about anyone else

brittap 07-24-2011 07:08 AM

They said a blue suit /orange flame is the var. for GH. So far the first 2 waves look good with only one or two misses ( Hope) they will really be giving Matty a run for MY money.

Optimus Vader 07-24-2011 09:28 AM

Damn,.. Lots of great stuff for both Universe and Legends collectors.

I dunno, they've already announced that they'll be doing a Star Wars panel there (which they don't normally do), so...I suppose we'll see. Personally I wouldn't be at all surprised if we get an "Avengers" panel at the very least to show off a couple more figures from the line.

RoketoPunch 07-24-2011 11:03 AM

Claok and Dagger would be sick.

scarecrow 07-24-2011 11:57 AM

Wow, we're finally getting a Kang. Just give me a Helmut Zemo and I have all three of my favorite super villains in this line(Ultron being the first).

Nova looks AMAZING. And despite the fact that I feel the body is too bulky for Spidey, that Future Foundation outfit is so, so cool.

xlover2310 07-24-2011 03:07 PM

I love the scarlet witch, i think it's cool she has high heels.
she is the first female figure in high heels, and i think she has a new body sculp.
definitely goona get it
Wish hasbro had made a Jim Lee storm figure instead of the same giant size x-men figure.

Don't know much about Marvel other than the popular characters, so who's the guy with the face in the chest?
