If it hits retail in Canada( Don't see why not ) I will get them all in a heart beat

cainraw 07-29-2011 03:11 PM

Hell no, MU is already going to break the bank next year.

What he said, mind you I love toys, but I'm running out of room, My next major purchase maybe a new display case, then onto the new MU & ML figures.

To my shock, I just saw the 6" IM line at TARGET! They were $14.99

mrmr 07-29-2011 05:44 PM

At $15 a figure it's not different than DCUC soooo...

But really I'm probably not gonna get many that aren't especially interesting to me. Ghost Rider is bought already, but that's it. Maybe Hope.

brittap 07-29-2011 06:20 PM

I'm down for the first 2 waves

jamesmruddy 07-29-2011 07:07 PM

I think so. Really liked what I have seen so far.

you mighthave to if your favorite figure is on a BAF but it really depends who your favorite character is

LXL_Guy 07-30-2011 09:08 PM

Going to be a cherry picker here. I'm only going to pick the characters I want such as Hope Summers.

Same here but probably pass on Hope.

Mee too- enerally I dont do the non-MU stuff but I have the Iron Man/ Maria Hill, Sharon Carter/ Dum Dum and Black Widow/Winter Soldier on display with my old ML Nick Fury...it'sa SHIELD thing.
If they release something that looks good and in-scale wth those figs, I'd likely but it, but not going to collect another wallet draining linewhen MU has so much awesome coming out in the next year.

I am however hoping the new line offers some stuff that works for MU scale- like how the ML BAF Modok is MU scale and the MU Fin Fang Foom and select Watcher work better for MU than ML.
They could, for example, offer a Super Adaptoid, Goliath or Sentinel that would work for either scale.

thechris 07-31-2011 12:32 AM

Not likely, I didn't collect any of the Legends or Select except for a few that scaled well with MU like Mojo's BAF, MODOK's BAF, Galactus' BAF, Man-Thing and Blackheart so I'd feel compelled to go back and buy all of those and it's simply too expensive to do that now.

Pros From Dover 07-31-2011 01:17 AM

Just going to pick up the Iron Man figures. The Neo-Classical armor looks awesome!

Yeah- I need that to go with my ML Silver Centutian and the (awesome) Golden Avenger version from the Maria Hill/IM 2-pack.
They need to keep with the swappable heads like they used in the 2-packs- it's great having the Ton head so you can do a "helmetless" pose with him holding the helmet.

Agreed. I have about half of the swappable Tony heads on the figures I have displayed.

Jmacq1 07-31-2011 09:14 AM

I'll likely be buying them all. Both because I like the characters and because I want those BAFs. I'd probably stop buying Marvel Universe before I'd stop with Marvel Legends, not that I don't love and enjoy them, but I was a Marvel Legends collector long before I was a Marvel Universe collector. Besides, I "cherry pick" Marvel Universe as it is.

bmorr 07-31-2011 02:34 PM

only MU for me. ill take the conservative size. plus, yah know, price.

Redlantern161 08-01-2011 08:58 AM

Well IDGAF I'm getting 'em whether it's in a heart beat or gradually. They're all worth it.

Same here.
That blue ghost rider I'll buy in a heartbeat, but mostly I'll be sticking to characters that'd fit in scale-wise to MU, besides the characters I just want in any scale like DarkHawk, X-23, among others.

They look very nice though.

Exactly how I feel. Got the Thor too. May pick up one or two. But not the whole line like MU

DarkestKnight 08-01-2011 09:24 AM

I'll probably just get the certain characters I like, as I will mainly stick with the MU line as I like the scale and price a lot more.

Good Stuff 08-01-2011 09:35 AM

I agree with most here...but knowing me if it does hit retail here in Canada, I'm probably going to buy them all, especially for the BAFs, even though I don't want to get into another collection. But knowing retail, they're inconsistent, new stock is rare, and collecting through retail is a painful experience.

I've been searching for specific ML and MS figs without any luck this past year so I definitely welcome this new line. however, I just hope the BAFs are going to impress or get better...because this 1st wave as a whole (since there are so many other cool characters they should have considered for this golden 1st wave) is rather disappointing.

neatogecko 08-01-2011 10:50 AM

In a word, no. Heaven help me if I add another line, much less another scale to my collecting addiction.

This too. I already have to scale back buying other figures outside of 4inch marvel. Arkham City Batman is probably the last none 4inch marvel figure I'll purchase in a Long Time.
