I had forgotten the Turtle Blimp. That was a huge and fun toy, indeed! |
That's easy.....1984 pre rub Soundave!
Awesome toy, and listening to his voice on the cartoon made him the awesomest! |
"...or ram Godzilla in the shin until his fist launched off and he died (which is how Godzilla died back then)."
Truer words have never been spoken! |
My favourite toys from my childhood have to be the dinobots - I just loved them and can still remember having grimlock for my birthday and being in sheer awe of it :)
Secondly I would say the constructicons, becuase they were never released in the UK but I found them in italy on a school trip when I was 11 - I was SOO excited. Good memories :) |

Dusty old thread.... any new takers?

Im very disappointed at the lack of Super Van City in this thread. I lived there for several years it seems. Took it everywhere...

This is an impossible question, I love all my toys, I could never pick a favorite. I would be very sad to lose anything in my collection really.
|
I'd tell you but I don't wanna get banned...
|
Original TMNT action figure. Durable (still have them), portable (take anywhere) and fun.
|
Yeah, really an impossible question. One that my answer could very well change from day to day. Hmm. Right now, I'm gonna say The Goon from Mezco. Also high up on the list would be the 2 Rob Zombie Michael Myers and all of The Devil's Rejects. Also, the Hush Nightwing.
|
The original Zartan and Chameleon set...the color change gimmick, detailed accessories and even the fact that his vehicle could be disguised. For me, all that was next level stuff in that scale.

Wind up Evil Kenevil

The Big Trak...

My interests and my collection are more focused on Star Wars and Marvel, but for greatest single toy I'm going to say Optimus Prime as well. But the Masterpiece version. It really is a masterpiece (MP 10 specifically). Awesome in both modes, its a great centerpiece to any Transformers collection.

Hasbro's giant Big AT-AT. That was when 3.75" toys peaked IMO. It is such a timeless toy too... I mean they brought back AT-ATs in Rogue One, but all the new AT-AT toys are crap toys IMO. But the Big AT-AT is awesome... you can use it as a base or a troop transport for any 3.75" figures.

Cargantua: a totally bitchin robot that has race tracks for hands and he could not only launch Gobots out of his hands he was also much better than either of the Gobots headquarters.
Speaking of Gobots, I like Gobots. Some of the rarer Super Gobots are pretty interesting to me, but speaking of ones I've actually owned or handled the super version of Cy-Kill has a lot of appeal for me. He was just very sturdy, had an iconic look that at the time was about as good as any of the Transformers to me, and he was like a good size for GI Joes to ride so also he was quite practical for my GI Joes to drive to work and stuff. Gobots. |
