I've been reading an endless amount of crap from text books lately. When I finish up this semester I'm going to score some Punisher - Warzone TPBs. I love Garth Ennis, and I've heard good things.

vampireheart 10-09-2011 12:26 AM

Ive been reading the Marvel Masterworks, I havent read anything since New/Mighty Avengers and AS Batman & Robin. I picked up Avengers Vol. 1-3 and Captain America loved them all and ill be going through the back catalog of Marvel thanks to the TPBs of the Masterworks now if only DC had something like this for their old stuff

I've been really into DC's New 52, so maybe I'm just a mark.

My Fav-5 are; Aquaman, Superman, Batman, Swamp Thing, and Wonder Woman was pretty good too.

Snowflakian 10-09-2011 06:01 AM

Right now, mostly I read X-23's comic(hit or miss at times), FF now after their appearance in her comic, Hulk (the red-hulk comic), the New Teen Titans comic, Red hood and the outlaws, IDWs Transformers, Uncanny X-Force, and that's about it on the good side.

I plan to start reading the new TF Exiles book tomorrow. Hopefully that'll be good, but otherwise I'm finding it harder and harder to find books I like. Sometimes I'll go back and re-read an amazing book to fill the gap. Like John Steakley's Armor, Vampire$, and also Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchet's Good Omens(HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS!).

Do Boy 10-09-2011 07:19 AM

I'm not reading anything in particular right now.

Blood 10-09-2011 07:42 AM

Ayn Rand's the fountainhead, it's about a douchebag

Yeah- Ayn Rand.;)

I'm reading two books just now- Jim Butcher's newest Dresden Files Novel, Ghost Story (pretty good so far) and Emergence by Steven Johnson (mind-blowing impossibly insane in it's sheer awsomeness of ideas presented and the connections revealed!).

Then why would you post here? I'm sure your response will be, same reason why you did, but I just think this is a blatant attempt to add to your post count.

Do Boy 10-09-2011 11:20 AM

Oh my bad. I'm sorry. I'll try to keep my post more relevant to the topic next time.

Did you read Teen Titans before the re-boot?

I thought Red Hood did a better job of placating old fans while being accessible to new fans than Titans did.

I do like Wonder Girl's new costume though.

Darkspeed 10-12-2011 02:51 AM

In anticipation of Skrulls in the new Avengers movie, I just finished reading the TPB of Secret Invasion again... One of their better crossover titles, love the artwork too.

I just finished reading the first issue of The Secret Society of Super Villains.

I can't believe Grodd left Copperhead hanging like that, especially after Copperhead called it just panels before.

That simian bastard!

Reaver Strike 11-08-2011 08:19 AM

Has anyone followed X-Men:Schism? I read the preludes and than there was a mixup at my lcs and the rest of the issues weren't put aside for me. Rather than try to find all the issues I plan on getting the tpb. I know this story arc sets things up for the revised Uncanny X-Men.

I just finished reading "The Secret Society of Super Villians" volume 1 and it left me with more questions than answers.

transformer8448 11-08-2011 11:35 AM

Just finished World War Z. Amazing, awesome. My first foray into Zombie-verse and it was a nice ride. Maybe I'll pick up The Walking Dead next.

omega145 11-08-2011 11:59 AM

Zombies vs Robots Undercity, pretty good short series and inline with my new found fondness of threeA toys.

I started reading The Infinity Gauntlet this morning.

I'll tell you how it goes if I see this thread bumped when I finish.

D00MTR0N 11-08-2011 12:43 PM

a ton a different comics at once which I dont recommend :/

Darkspeed 11-08-2011 12:44 PM

Got caught up with the final issue of Fear Itself, was pretty happy with how it ended... Only thing i hated was the stupidly long epilogue that was tagged on to the end to advertise coming series.

Also read issue 29 of the ongonig Transformers comic, and thought it was a great little end to the Earth stories... I know the ongoing has its haters, but I've enjoyed pretty much every one of the stories since it started. Now to wait and see where Chaos is going to go!

Which ones, so we'll know not to get them.

Also, the most recent issue of Herc I read where Zeus loses his powers was way better than I thought an issue of Herc would ever be, and I would highly reccomend it.

I would have loved to see the heroes actually use the weapons that Stark had made.. they barely "took them out of the box" and it was over.
