Cable followed by WW Hulk.

miketime 09-12-2011 06:23 AM

The Cable, Cyclopse, Scarlet Spiderman body should be the gold standard with MU. Swivil ball hinge hips rotating heels. No ugly anle joint. The new DD Bullseye 2 pack should be of the same quality.

I think it's hard to pick just one figure that is the best because there are so many things to take into account.

Plus, the line as a whole seems to be getting increasingly better as time goes on with upcoming figures surpassing those that are left behind.

I'm gonna say Dr. Strange.

itMFtis 09-12-2011 07:19 AM

Going to go with Cable. Scarlet Spider would have been perfect except his hip ball joints pop out of the socket way too easy, and it seems like a problem with the mold itself.

Spacemafia 09-12-2011 07:34 AM

I dont get the whole point thing here....and I saw the other thread like this one.....but its a a good question.

As of right now Jim Lee Cyclops.........

Prem1x 09-12-2011 07:34 AM

I'll throw in another vote for Silver Samurai. He is amazing in hand.

DogFashionDisco 09-12-2011 08:27 AM

It is easily Cable w/ Hope, they went above and beyond with that figure.

Do Boy 09-12-2011 08:28 AM

I just might have to change my vote to Doctor Strange. wrist pivot ftw!

Do Boy 09-12-2011 03:46 PM

Ok after just picking this guy up I have to change my answer to him The SDCC exclusive Spider-Man. My god. The articulation and the detail on him are spot on!!! And the web accessory is actually one of the best Spider-Man accessory out there

quipp209 09-12-2011 03:56 PM

My favorite figure from the mu line has thanos the paint apps the head sculpt is all f**king sick that I own 3 one for display one for moc n the other to play with lol

Good Stuff 09-12-2011 05:43 PM

Imo....

1. Silver Samurai for sculpt, paint app, articulation
2. Cable w/ baby for sculpt, paint app, accessories
3. Deadpool (2pack) for sculpt, paint app, accessories
4. WW Hulk for sculpt, accessories
4. Colossus (GS X-Men pack variant) for sculpt, paint app

Jason Abbadon 09-12-2011 06:29 PM

Either Doctor ZStrange or Thanos- both are comic-perfect!

Good Stuff 09-12-2011 09:23 PM

yepper...no doubt! ;)

Jim Lee Cyclops - too bad i haven't got one yet. so i guess that doesn't count.

Union Jack - i got it. so yeah. it's awesome.

TheSymbiote 09-12-2011 11:43 PM

Cable is the best!

Variant Sentinel.

For a non-cheap answer, I'm tempted to go either Juggernaut or WW Hulk. Although Juggernaut doesn't have the same level of work given to WW Hulk it's a very nice, clean sculpt; it's what Toy Biz couldn't deliver in their Showdown line (and if they had, I probably would have been into collecting years sooner). The WW Hulk has exceptional articulation and sculpting but the paint can be shoddy at times (and I've always been bothered by the non-painted shield, scabbard, etc). Plus there's that weapon-holding issue... Other than that, maybe modern Thor (great paint, articulation, etc) or Doctor Strange (only real issue with him is that raised eyebrow). That Doc Strange is incredible.

I've honestly not seen the appeal to Silver Samurai. I know lots of people drool over the damn thing but the only perk I've really seen is the articulation. I'm just not feeling that sculpt at all. The head looks annoyingly off.

thats well put, and i get everything u say about it. but, like u said wwhulk has a weapon holding issue, and doc strange has the peoples eyebrow thing goin on so thats a point knocked off both. you say the head is off and u dont feel the sculpt, ok i'll give u those. but this is the 1st time he's been in figure form and for them to get it that close to good is a pretty nice achievement. wwhulk and strange have both been done b4 so u would expect them to be better a long the lines of greatness then they are

im just sayin

MeLikeJinx 09-17-2011 06:23 AM

I also love Modular Armor/Bleeding Edge MU Ironman. I actually play with that fig... I mean full-on make him fly around and stuff... that is the only MU fig I feel compelled to play with. LOL. Great fig.

Snowflakian 09-17-2011 06:29 AM

I said it in the other thread ages ago, and I'll say it again.

X-23 is hands down the best figure.
Now for close second I'd say Commander Rogers and Darkhawk. I love how these turned out and their articulation. Somehow they even managed to get darkhawk's head to tilt up in some of the photos I've seen which is awesome for flight poses!

CLASSIFIED 09-17-2011 10:38 AM

I'm digging the Powerman figure from the Ironfist 2 pack.

ORIO 09-17-2011 10:58 AM

So far X-23 is kicking ass. But I agree with Cable and Cyclops a well. I totally wasn't expecting that Cyke figure to be as good as it is

c2close 09-17-2011 01:27 PM

Well i've got to say Cable (i only have the Cable without Hope). I have never yet get the chance to see the latest wave but i was really stoke on how much details Cable had. I hope to find Cable with baby hope soon.

NoodleChow 09-17-2011 02:34 PM

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...e/IMG_6132.jpg

i'd say these sum up my expectations for the line. great sculpts or at least reuse of good sculpts plus the best available articulation for this scale. nitpicks would be that the hulk body needs the side to side rocking ankles, cable needs to be a smidge shorter and the technoorganic infected arm's bicep to deltoid connection coulda have been done better, and if all the figures had ball jointed wrists like the ww2 cap, sdcc movie spidey, and dr strange that'd be awesome since BE iron man needs em in his open hand. also that joints need to be cast in the correct colors.

i'd add commander rogers, x-23, and namor to the list if i had em.

honorable mention goes to apocalypse.

MeLikeJinx 09-17-2011 02:48 PM

^ That is such an awesome pic. I am totally going to steal some of those poses. LOL. I couldn't for the life of me figure out how to pose WWH while holding his weapons and make it look natural. LOL.
