Not worth $20 for a repaint & stand IMO. I'm sure these will warm the shelves for a while.
Still I would like to see how the others turn out.

I hope those aren't $20. They'll sit on them forever. I think that tag is for a Sonic something or other. I'd go get that Hulk if I didn't know an even better one was on the way.

I got 7 of those for $1.74. I like those sort of dio pieces.

They're TRU exclusives.

NoodleChow 09-22-2011 08:05 PM

oh dang, didn't know that. guess i'll be using a 20% off coupon if possible on it.

Shawn Woodbeck 09-22-2011 08:15 PM

Does anyone know if these are TRU exclusives?

I for one, am not happy about this.

Blood 09-22-2011 08:51 PM

Why does hasbro has to do that kind of stuff?!

It's all about money to them dude, and they know people will pay up.

Good Stuff 09-22-2011 09:05 PM

These sets are friggin lame. Recycled, expensive, no-effort....yep, that's Hasbro.

Yeah, typically the company in question either throws money at them for the exclusive(and they get the pick from a list of possibilities, hence the re-used molds), or they are only chain that'll carry it when hasbro is trying to get something out to the fans. The retail price isn't their choice either. Hasbro has a MSRP they suggest, but the chain/entity in question will use whatever price they think people will pay. That's why Toys R Us has a mark up on figures. It's not cause hasbro is charging them more, it's because they know people will pay it. (Compare the MSRP to the actual TRU price.) Sometimes those prices line up because hasbro had prior knowledge of what the company wanted to charge.

It's usually always one or the other.

In Unicron's case, it was because retailers don't think supreme figures will sell if they aren't of prime or bumblebee, but amazon was willing to take the chance(boy aren't retailers feeling dumb about that move now!).

How dare you, that video changed my life. haha

If they're being sold in other stores besides TRU, they'll go into clearance eventually. I picked up a couple Hall of Armor Iron Man 2 figures like this from Target a while back for about $3 each. They make great gifts because they look like they were expensive..... which they were at one time. Haha

These have the silver TRU exclusive sticker in them

Which makes them perfect as TRU exclusives. :D

Can't hate if the repaint is better than the first!! Just my opinion..

The back of the box shows how the stands connect. Figures shown in the back seem to be captain America, hawkeye, black widow and daredevil??

NoodleChow 09-22-2011 11:37 PM

^^^ methinks that's black panther. also seems to be the black spidey body on him. in fact same for black widow, wonder if it's a straight repaint or has a different head since the hair looks very much like the phoenix's.

Yeah, that's a HUGE improvment over the green monkey MU already made with the too-short legs!

But I'm a makin' my own Hulk- repainting the grey Hulk from the movie line (or was it some HUlk toy line?) I got loose from myy LSC for $5.
Great sculpt, right hand opens withs some spring action to keep it closed...
Should be a fun repaint.

Hulk's kind of an annoying character in that he's often drawn 10' tall and 5' across- a huge mofo! But then also only 7-8' tand muh smaller overall.

dont know wat it is but those black hands make the thor figure look that much more awesome, who wants to bet that in a couple of months these are gonna go on clearence? like the IM2 hall of armors

So the only differences from the GB 2pack version is that this one has:
-black painted hands
-yellow lines/accents on his skirt
-brown handle on the hammer

Yea, I'd still rather get the GS comic pack at a few dollars less and then repaint the Extremis Iron Man as a What if? Cap...

Thanks for posting the pic. Looking at the pics of the TRU Hulk pics above almost made me break down and go get one. I gotta stay the course... :D

Actually, it almost looks like it might be the IM2 ScarJo Black Widow.

As for that last silhouette? I wouldn't be surprised if it were Spider-Man. These are comic-based, after all, even if they serve as nice "build up" for the movie.

Or they might put out the IM2 Nick Fury figure again. Who knows?

bmorr 09-23-2011 04:40 AM

Lookin at the boexes i thought these were the legends sized figures people were hamming for. so these are just repainted MU figs for 20 bucks? Screw that noise.

Nexodusrex 09-23-2011 05:01 AM

anybody else hoping that female is Black Widow with comic Accurate cleavage? Full on Catsuit Widow isnt that great cause of the lack of boobs.

and this has been your most sexist post for of the day. thank you and good night!

miketime 09-23-2011 05:08 AM

I never knew these were coming out. The figure selection sucks. Third time release for thor and Bucky cap. We just got that Ironman like two wavs ago wich is last month the way I see product put out. These arn't going anywhere just like the IM hall of Armor which I passed on for $1.73.

Why couldn't they have given us sneak previews of new outfits to justify the $20 price tag? Great news front page worthy but epic fail. My wallets getting fatter.
