cabrican 09-24-2011 08:18 PM

i havent come across the doctor strange wave yet. iceman looks cool

Nexodusrex 09-24-2011 09:15 PM

wolvies the only one I really want from this set. Though I will probably pick up the Magneto and Iceman should I see them in the wild. Absorbing man is a nah, cause I like the comic one better. only thing good about the ironman is the head, so I might MIGHT purchase that one if I see it hit 2 dollars on BBTS. .

AndyCR75 09-24-2011 09:27 PM

maybe Im in the minority here, but I'm loving this wave. On the flip side, I'd rather live in Atlanta than Manila...so I can wait. ;-)

I only saw Cable once at retail... and I think that was from a recent revision case. LOL. Never even saw a Doctor Strange at retail.

And I agree about Iceman... except you can see the circles in his shoulders.

IDK man... two weeks is a long time to wait. LOL.

topnotch97 09-24-2011 10:49 PM

meh. pass.
i'll wait for something else. thank you.

Is that Tony Stark head Madrox's head with a goatee painted in??? That's weak sauce...

Jason Abbadon 09-25-2011 12:59 AM

Logan needs to lay of the "Barry Bonds training in a syringe" routine.
People are starting to notice...ever since his arms got bigger than Thor's.

Good Stuff 09-25-2011 02:26 AM

ice man - buy
magneto - buy, but will make a custom out of it
wolvie - skip, will repaint one of my 10 tiger stripe wolvies
absorb man - skip
tony stark - skip, multiple man head, seriously?

This wave is super lame...come on Hasblow!

AND they didn't even paint the under-armor the right color(gold). Absolute fail.

Magneto and Wolverine look sick!

I'll pick up the Absorbing Man variant if I find him in the wild too.

aquanet 09-25-2011 05:39 AM

The Wolvie headsculpt looks awesome.

Magneto looks kinda lame, but I'll probably only pick up that one, I missed out on the SW version.

Iceman looks good too.

Edit: At least Ironman comes with an alternate head, wish Magneto came with one!

Hopefully this startsa trend- how awesome would it be to have "unmasked" alternate heads for most characters?!?
I just bought an extra Steve Rogers to make an unmasked Captain America and I did the same so my Norman Osborn Iron Patriot could be holding his helmet!

I'd love for MU to do this- unmasked Doom would be sick!
Unmasked Wolverine and BuckyCap would be amazing!

Really, it's not too much to ask when you compare the HUGE amount of extras with every GI Joe figure Hasbro makes at the same price point.

Obviously, most villians dont get this treatment- but villians usually come with extras or are bigger figures anyway, so it would balance out fine.

He's making a GREAT Sh'Iar head though! I just added epoxy sculpt to the middle of his head to give it that pointy part in the middle.

He's got the best claws too- I'll be transferring them onto this new fig (assuming those claws are not seperate pieces?).

the best and easiest solution for him is to switch heads with xavier school wolvie. that way, a sucky head on a sucky body. done and done.

didnt marvel legends do something like this with, whats it called, face off? oh yeah, doom got unmasked and a white costume for those who didnt read the childrens crusade. looks scary similar to that fake one people were freaking out over.

redx24 09-25-2011 12:47 PM

ORIO 09-25-2011 03:11 PM

Hooray for an X-Man heavy wave! Those three mutants shall be mine.
