Lol, thanks. I actually made this thread a few months ago, and while it is pretty dead most of the time every once in a while arkers contribute some pretty cool pics from their nerdy offspring. :D

Are those super hero squad? I want to get my son those, he's not really old enough to play yet. Only 18mo. Just dreading the day when he wants MY collection

Yep, some of those are Superhero Squad and the others are DC imaginext (great toys for little ones, imo) And when it comes to "Daddy's toys", for several months now I make sure to tell him "Be nice and careful". He repeats it back to me like a mantra and then when I let him see my stuff he is always respectful of Daddy's figures, never being rough with them or losing their tiny accessories. :)

So you know whats even better than having a "nerdy kid"? a nerdy kid, who treats figures with the same care that his daddy does, lol.

I scored a large tub of miscellaneous LEGO bricks/people a few months back which I forwarded to my kid sister and I recently gave my little sister a bunch of the Mega Bloks Marvel characters, so she built a really interesting little diorama to show me. It started out as a futuristic/funny bathroom that was made out of a few pieces, but the kid committed to turning it into a bigger, ridiculous, but imaginative set and I like it. It is hard to tell from this picture, but she made the LEGO guy (the only LEGO guy) who is on the epic toilet point a gun at Venom (also hard to see) on the left side of the photograph. Oh, and this is a two story LEGO creation, so she gets extra creative points, haha. Oh, and it is probably a ship, because she put one of those boat helms at the front of the first floor (not pictured) so this might be a more complicated set than I thought.

Holy Skip Lord Marvel, that is one awesome looking room and collection! ( I think your son might have more figures than me. ;D lol )

And if your son is reading this he might get a kick out of the fact that I showed these pics to my son (who just turned 4) and he said "WOW, oh coool!" :)

behindthemask 12-28-2011 02:52 AM

Yeh Lord Marvel, your son looks like he's pretty happy, I know I would be with both galactus and sdcc thor and that huge spiderman haha. You and your son have nice collections and you got him into a good hobby should he choose to focus on it when he gets older. I like this thread, although no kids myself and taking random pics of other kids playing with toys is a little creepy so I'll just be an admirer for now.

My little guy loves all the little imaginext and superhero squad stuff he picked up for christmas and is constantly asking me to "take a picture daddy!" ;D

Mastersteef 02-02-2012 02:01 PM

Recently received the MU Ultimate Gift Set in the mail from a friend (thank you Vanessa!) and my little guy immediately wanted to play with the figures. And after about 15 minutes he had this diorama set up on the kitchen table and I knew I had to take some pics of it for him. :)

trebleshot 02-13-2012 01:33 PM

Not dioramas, per se, but here's some pics of her playing in the toy aisle when we go shopping:

I swear if she becomes a Country star, this is the cover of her first album.:

Yeah man, it easily makes all the days of fruitless hunting worth it when I see how excited he gets over simple "repaints" like the MU gift set. He doesn't care if they are rare or common, or how much articulation they have, he simply takes them and "has fun". And its amazing how so simple an act can put everything in perspective..y'know?

(sorry, I got a little "melodramatic" there, lol)
