Yeees...? Yes it is. LOL. Does that answer your question? Or were you asking if all MU figures are 3.75"? If that's the case, they aren't. In fact, I think most of the MU figures are more like 4-4.25" with 4.25" seeming to represent 6'.

Disney XD plays X-Men TAS, Iron Man TAS and Fantastic Four TAS all the 90s series right now. It's actually pretty cool.

And yet the movie figures are a wee bit smaller...

Kind of like Danny Davito.

I have the SDCC colored one on preordered from BBTS. I do not have the normal retail version and I doubt I'll pick him up.

Yep I also prefer the BAF Sentinel. Better paint for a more worn realistic looking, articulated fingers and tenticles. Its only a tad bigger than the MU Sentinel but the Sentinel is more bulky. I dont like how the MU Sentinel is a little too bulky either and has the look of having muscles.

agree with this, even im not collect sentinel in my collection, i dont like either sentinel from MU, looks more cartoon for me, BAF is more realistic and cool. well everybody always have different taste, right

Overall I like the BAF sculpt better, but the MU head sculpt is definitely superior. Muscles on the MU version just don't make any sense, other than the fact that Hasbro cheaped out on reusing the Galactus mold.

As well, you can get 2 MU Sentinels (at your local retailer) for less than the cost of 1 BAF Sentinel (off ebay). The MU version is also easily available and relatively cheap enough to do a custom Sentinel.

But all in all, Hasblow simply cheaped out on this year's Masterworks. A realy pitty.

Mastermind gave Sentinel molded muscles when he built him in order to intimidate buff mutants.

I think he's worth getting, unless you've retired from toy collecting.

Didn't see the Sentinal while I was out today[When I'm out wth my Aunt she buys me just about anything I can want -within a reasonable price, Yeah I'm spoiled-] Did see Galactus at Animax but passed on him [Bought a Gunpla Kit instead] I think till I see this sucker showing up at a Ross or TJ Maxx is when I'd pick him up.

If I had to pick between the two. I would get the Galactus over the Sentinel

Is the dark version of sentinel released to retail yet?

Dark version? You mean the classic colors? If so no. And IMHO I wouldn't count on it to. I would pre-order it of BBTS if you want it.

I'm semi retired from it, and can honestly say that I wouldn't pay full price for a Sentinel. It is very underwhelming in person, but the SDCC one would still be worth it to the completionists out there. I still have my Dark MU Galactus which is very impressive (as it should be) but I feel no need to get Sentinel.

Shin Densetsu 10-03-2011 08:13 PM

Worth getting but I thought it would be bettter. Expected it to have ratchets and detents for the joints. Also, no idea why we got a silver one, we should have had purple all along!

It had to be a marketing strategy. If a few of us will buy a slew of Multiple Man figures or army build Hydra soldiers, why not assume that we will also buy several $35 Sentinels as well? Hasbro, the company with more ambition than brains.

$35? Cheapest I've seen them is $50 @TRU.

Peteparker 10-03-2011 08:50 PM

All I can say is be careful about the Sentinel. It's the entire reason I got pulled into collecting the Marvel Universe figures...

First:
"I'll just get the Sentinel because it's big and cool"

Then:
"I'll just get the group of X-Men I'd have fight a sentinel to set up a scene"

Now:
"I'll just get all the X-Men in the Marvel Universe line"

Who knows what's coming next...

They sell them at the Wal-Marts in my area.

Tiberius 10-03-2011 09:12 PM

Not worth the money to me. Maybe if it was more like the Legends I would be interested. Only Masterworks I want STILL is Galactus.
