I still have yet to figure out how to dry brush model paint. I only know how that works with watercolors.

Depends on how his powers work and what his pants are made of.

I got the metal version and he's freak'n awesome.

Generally, the normal-looking version is considered the original and the other is the variant (Dr Strange). Or with nameplates, the proper name is the regular release and the other is the variant (Skaar/Son of Hulk, Sub-Mariner/Imperious Rex).

Does the normal-looking Creel have a matching picture on the back of his card, or is it still the metal version pictured?

Although, since Hasbro doesn't really identify them one way or the other, you could say that each one is technically the variant of the other.

Random observation:

Creel has full control over his abilities, so he can choose not to absorb the properties of cotton pants.

Well I guess if he's stranded in a desert or something in the middle of the night, he could easily get comfortable by absorbing his cotton pants. Why need a pillow when you are a pillow?

Simple, dark base color, which covers the area you want, cover 1-2 good coats, then take a lighter color put a small amount on your brush, then take a piece of paper towel and whipes 99% of the paint off, I typically whipe the brush newheres from 12-16 times before I touch the area I want. the more you whipe off the more weathers and subtle the effect will be, the less you whipe off the more "new" the item will appear, a similiar effect can also be achieved using a small amount of paint on a piece of paper towl and whipe it over the area fast.

Too bad he's a moron. Doom had hooked him up nicely in Doomwar- he had pouches woth all sorts of materials in them so he could become whatever was needed- even a piece of Adamantium!

Really, that little thing made him a powerhouse!

Peteparker 10-11-2011 07:39 PM

I like in Earth X where he became New York City.

Fixed. :)

And I'm surprised that D00MTR0N doesn't have that as his user title.

Are you stating this as a fact or is this your opinion? If it's the former, would you mind providing a source? If it's the latter, then that's cool.

Well, Loki didn't pick Creel for his intelligence or cunning. ;)

Jason Abbadon 10-12-2011 12:58 PM

loki used to scidently empower all sorts of losers to fight Thor- he got Karnilia to give him Thor-strength which through mishap went to the Wrecker...who shared with with his boyfriends and made the Wrecking Crew.

True, but Absorbing Man's origin wasn't random chance or a goof. Loki hand-picked Creel in a plot to beat Thor.

Jason Abbadon 10-12-2011 01:09 PM

Not a good decision maker, that Loki.
Signs up for a lot of high interest credit cards too...and magazine subscriptions.
He still pays for porn even.

Not too bright.

That's only because Loki captured his soul when he died.
Keeps it in one of the horns of his helmet....he's got Kurt Cobain's in the other.
Dont ask.

In one Punisher comic, Absorbing Man did a bunch of coke, and then turned into coke, and someone hit a fan, blew him everywhere, and then started cutting him in with the coke, and got a bunch of people super fucked up.

What a weird ass storyline that was.

I agree,I feel in the end the metal one will be the variant.

Tiberius 10-15-2011 06:50 PM

Just because his skin is different doesn't make him any less of a person!

D00MTR0N 10-15-2011 06:59 PM

I have said this before but this is a hard one to figure out being the metal version is pictured on the cardback but the flesh tone one is also at the bottom in a smaller pic.
