Here's what we need:

Yes! We need that almost more then any Gigantic Battles set.

Galactus 10-16-2011 11:47 AM

I guess Onslaught, though i always though he was a little too small to be in a line with characters the size of Frost Giants and Goliath.
I would like a Watcher as the second GB figure.

I guess that may be true. I just worry about his bulk in masterworks scale. They may try to slim him down to save on plastic which wont look right at all

Galvanitro 10-16-2011 12:10 PM

Maybe an Onslaught with the Professor X and Hover Chair we saw revealed. If Onslaught's smaller, than that'd warrent having the hover chair.

dbriseno 10-16-2011 12:14 PM

How about Saquatch vs Hulk

I just am concerned they do another like frost giants. Like army builder set.

Even better if the Gigantic Battle was a 3-pack of Wendigo, Sasquatch and Hulk.

Not a bad idea. But IMO I thong Sasquatch might be to small for a gigantic battle. I could be wrong thou.

dbriseno 10-16-2011 12:31 PM

Bit of a size comparison for the three pack

I agree. Sasquatch should be large but that seems a bit too big. Wonder how people would feel if instead of one giant and one normal they started to release two oversized figures but who were small then normal giants. Hmmmm

It would have to be a completely different line. You can't just stick 2 figures in a box and have it under the same SKU as one 12 inch figure on a blister card. It would completely throw off the floor set, not to mention the shipping issues if you had 12 inch figures and 2 packs in the same box going to the stores. SKUs are used to plan out shelf space, so they have to be consistent in size.

Ah very good point I completly forgot about floor planning and what not.

And who would be in the second set?

Maybe we'll get crazy lucky and get Celestials! They could make the Recorder with one and Machine Man with the other!

Or a Goliath and Moonstone Master of Evil combo with Atlas and Songbird for the other for that Thunderbolts fix we all crave!

Your speculation is welcomed- what do you think they'll make?

I missed this, when and where was it hinted at?

Thats why I love the idea of MODOK but his packaging wouldn't follow the rest

I'm sure making a new box wont be a problem. They had to redesign the box for the frost giant.

Maybe if he comes in two halves....front and back.

they didn't have to really redesign the box to frost giant, they only made the box thicker. It is still the same height as the others. MODOK is much shorter than them, so not only will the box have to be shorter but alot thicker.

Fortune 10-16-2011 01:30 PM

I just hope th modok looks different enough from my ML BAF to warrant a buy :/

miketime 10-16-2011 01:35 PM

This is cool news. I'm game for more Giant Battles packs no matter who's in them. MODOK is good. Mastermold Master works or Giant Battles pack needs to happen along with Onslaught.

DogFashionDisco 10-16-2011 02:16 PM

I'm surprised they're even considering making another Gigantic Battles set. Sales on anything above the 3 3/4 figures are pretty slow and for them to continue releasing larger characters at retail is pretty shocking. MODOK is a must have, but I think Hasbro won't be3 doing stuff like that for long.

Ok well "redesign" wasn't the right word. But it takes work to make that box that extra 1/2". And who says the box has to be shorter. They could just make the modok box thicker but same height.

I would love to see a mastor works MasterMold but no matter what I doubt I will ever see one in a proper scale. Hes just far too large.

Shawn Woodbeck 10-16-2011 03:20 PM

Onslaught is a must but, maybe a different character than Professor X or Magneto. What about a Rogue or someone we don't have yet.
