14.5" Popbot with Random Kitty - Designer Toys Ashley Wood / Threezero / ThreeA

Mate i dont own one personally, but for that price you should snap it up!! Ratfink over on HISStank has a MASSIVE 3A collection across all their lines, and he speaks highly of the popbot figures.....it could be a good starting point for your potential 3A collection......

I hit up the other person from hisstank and their response wasnt all that helpful. I'd like to see more members collections and have some comparison pictures of size/scale differences.

Can you hang on til sunday mate?? Im posting pics of my Bertie next to the MU Cable figure for Omega,if my memory serves theres not a great difference height-wise between the Armstrong+Bertie, but the Armstrong is slimmer,hand-wise i think 3A use the same arms on everything. My Berties hands has 3 knuckle joints on finger and thumb.

I got the bramble for x-mas a few years back, and all though I loved the toy and had him on display for a few occasions. I was willing to trade him for something greater if it came my way... and it did. I ended up trading him, 2 Futurama toys bender and Lela and $100 to get a Iron Man mark 3 Battle Damaged figure. He's complete and in great condition. And down the road if the day should ever come I know I can get 2-300 for him.

All the time in the world bud. I've yet to buy one yet because then I know that opens the floodgates. JohnnyAkiba on here has a couple that im making him an offer on and that Popbot from BBTS is really tempting to throw him in my POL at that price. Also, trying to figure out which zombie is better to get:

eBay - New & used electronics, cars, apparel, collectibles, sporting goods & more at low prices

Any ideas?

I think 3A/Ashley Wood is like any good toy line, the craftsmanship is there the price does reflect it, but you end up with solid pieces. The resale factor is great on these, no real drop in value, as long as you hang onto the box, and keep him nr mint, they'll sell for the minimum price of what your original investment was if not more. also there's limited runs, it's not like MU where rare figures can get reissued, once they're sold, that's it. I would say the 2nd auction is the better zombie. I've seen both in person. and the 2nd has an extra accessory I believe. If you love great paint aps and crazy articulation buy them. I've only owned some of the robots, not any of the ppl type figures so harder to say. But it's all hand painted, and real cloth fabric, working buckles and clips, heavy weapons, and with the robots the finger replicate that of a human, there's 3 ball joints/finger!

ersico 10-28-2011 10:51 AM

just bought 3A armstrong-monet

Thanks for the tips and most of this are reasons why I've gotten excited over this line of figures.

I agree with this post. Considering what you pay for them, you get your money's worth with the articulation, cloth packs, the pure design, I love them.

Also, the new Brambles are up for preorder on BBTS.

Awesome, glad youve joined the 3A club as well. I really like the color scheme on that bot and for $50 you cant go wrong.
I just put the pop bot in my POL from BBTS. Damn, ive been hooked in.

proteus 10-28-2011 03:40 PM

Right heres a quick Cable/Bertie shot:

Congrats on your 3A purchase Ersico!! You will have to post some pics when it arrives, and give us a good in depth review!!!

@behindthemask ah fairplay sounds like you pulled a good trade there, but id love a Bramble, definitely my 3A grail so i wouldnt have been able to part with it ever!!

If the damn things werent so expensive id love to do a custom Bertie or Bramble that has had the top torn off to reveal a limbless joe torso hardwired inside to control it.....

ersico 10-28-2011 04:00 PM

No worries mate, sorry to put temptation in your path!! They are awesome toys in terms of articulation, paint apps and detailing, theres not much can hold a candle to em,mine has loads of little stencils and decals on it in random places, they are just really nice to have in hand and admire!! My only major complaint is that the MASSIVE rotary cannon makes him very off-balance,its fine balanced on his shoulder but if he holds it in a firing position he constantly topples over!!

Sorry mate,im not really that well-informed on the Armstrongs,so im not sure how well they measure up,i dont think there can be much difference though!! Dammit the new WWR(p) Brambles ARE up on BBTS, $65 is a great price..but the cheapest shipping they offer to the UK is $31...thats quite a jump in the spending department!! man decisions decisions.........

omega145 10-28-2011 04:58 PM

The size should be similar, the monet is 7.5" and that Bertie looks about the same size.

proteus 10-29-2011 04:23 AM

Ahhhhh lordy.....after a serious chat with the G/F this morning....iv pulled the trigger on the African Defense Bramble pre-order on BBTS:
7" Heavy Bramble Figure - African Defence - Designer Toys Ashley Wood / Threezero / ThreeA

Frigging love the detailing on him,and as soon as he arrives he's gonna get my Bertie's Vulcan cannon!!!
