New wolverine sucks best one by is Tiger stripes origin, but then again it isn't so great for a character so loved they really should have put the detail and articulation in to it. Wolverine should have some beast ass claws that aren't attached together, Neck being able to go up and down, rocker ankles, thigh swivel chest articulation so he can bend over( no homo ), Wrist articulation, and bicep articulation wtf it was in the first 2 wave he had it then all of the sudden he doesn't? Don't see what Hasbro is doing Wolverine is one of the biggest figure in the whole line that really should have gotten a completely new revamp HE FUCKING WOLVERINE!

Nope, just normal X-Force Archangel.

Uncanny X-Force has the silver on front in a more skeletal pattern with more black to break it up so it's not solid on the chest, plus silver tiger stripes on the leg.

X-Force v3 Archangel is the Exclusive which is pure silver on the front design filled.

That's not how the figures are ordered, though. They don't go through and cherry pick which comic packs they're going to buy. They say "Hey, this line is selling well, we're going to keep buying more cases." At best you could argue that small shops might be swayed by names, but frankly, they don't amount to squat next to the major retailers. And the major retailers could care less whose name is on the package, as long as the line has been selling well. (Barring some outliers like "Hellboy", for instance)

At no point in the production process is "faking out the merchants" a consideration in naming.

You're forgetting something, bro. Toy Fair. Toy companies like Hasbro and Mattel have to lay out their plans and keep selling their product year after year to the retail bigwigs. Even proven lines like MU. And guess what retail bigwigs like? Spiderman and Wolverine. Why? Because mommies and daddies know who Spiderman and Wolverine are. If every 2012 MU wave consisted of nothing but characters like Albert, Agatha Harkness, and Pastepot Pete, guess if Walmart would hold onto the line. Name recognition helps. Period. At least a figure or two per wave.

1. what about a wolverine version when Magneto pulled out the adamantium out of his body? the one from Fatal Attractions storyline?

2. what about the DC-Marvel Amalgam universe "batman-wolverine" version?

Sounds good to me.

Dark Claw will never appear in a Hasbro toy line because the rights to that character are co-owned by both Marvel and DC. Unless Hasbro somehow got the toy rights to both companies, we'd only see it as a custom (like with the upcoming HeroFactory sets). And I doubt Mattel is willing to give that up to Hasbro any time soon.

And that's not even considering the current relationship between the two publishing companies.

An Amalgam toyline would be one HELL of a fanboy cash grab though. Same as the comics were!
