I'm really surprised that Vision ended becoming one of the most expensive figures. I got mine from HTS.com during the ten minutes they were available, but I did see him three or four times at retail. I imagine they'll repack him. They've done in with pretty much everyone except him and Blade.

tsweet 11-15-2011 08:59 AM

I'm with you. It's crazy that a colored vision goes for these prices. I will stay on the hunt for another phasing and then make my own. I say if you really really really want it then get it. But my opinion it's not worth it. Most I paid for a figure is 49.99 for sentinal and galactus. For a single figure $16.00 and that was for cable w/hope at a local comic book shop. Other than that stay on the hunt. Plus 2012 line that is coming out is going to be awesome.

I assume you passed the phasing version? Maybe I need to make a hunting trip to Virginia!

No it was the regular Vision, he was with Warpath too. I didn't know he was worth much except to a few fans like me. Sometimes we get great stuff but mostly we lag a wave or two behind here. I almost picked him up for a friend but at the last moment I put him down. If he comes back it looks as if I should pick him up.

I would love another clear vision as they screwed up on the face paint and it ran a bit. Since the first wave with the original came and went so fast I grabbed him and haven't seen him since.

We have also have had a few Jean Grey's recently too.

If the MU line were ending, that would be one thing. But with another six months at LEAST, wait for a reVision case, or a new carded version or two-pack with a better sculpt. Or the TRU figure with the base, a lot of collectors forget about the Vision that we've seen in silhouette on the back of the first wave boxes!

Next year's going to be CRAZY with Avengermania. Sit tight.

gpmartin414 11-15-2011 10:57 AM

Are you sure that was Vision? I thought it was Black Panther.

Peteparker 11-15-2011 11:29 AM

All good advice. I'm glad I asked, as I got talked out of the hype of the situation.

You're all right. There's too likely a chance for a revision pack eventually coming with figures like Vision and Blade in them to waste cash now, and I don't really want to wipe out my fund.

Patience!

Thanks to you all! :)

Yup, Ms. Marvel was another high end one, now she's in the Revision pack, so yup. Patience is key! Now if it was Archangel than I would have said heck ya!!! :P

You've got me questioning myself now, lol. I'll have to swing by TRU and have another look!

Lol, how about the Hawkeye and Piledriver comic pack? Would you pay $35 shipped for that? I don't see any comic pack revision packs happening, especially on the Secret Wars packs...

Not after finding Cap/Klaw and other formerly thought to be long gone packs restocked at my regular Target just yesterday, I wouldn't.

I found mine on ebay last month for $25 shipped, so even if you do go that route, wait for a deal.

Agreed on this, plus the current Vision mold is so outdated.

Marvel Universe Action Figures Wave 17 Revision 2 - Hasbro - Marvel - Action Figures at Entertainment Earth

What Havok and Black Widow, dang I bought those on Evilbay, but didn't pay too high though. I actually meant the X-Force Archangel...

My Target just restocked the comic packs and they had the cap/claw, absorbing man/doom, bulldozer/thing and the dark avengers comic packs. Weird but awesome cuz I needed that dark avengers pack.

Yet...still better than some: I just shipped off a BLack panther (original issue) to a fellow Arker last week and I was comparing him to the two packs version...man, the old BP's body sucked.
Then I was lookin at some newer figs and they also suck- the Cap line Capt Britian is terrible- and SO SHORT! LOL!

flipwilson 11-15-2011 08:29 PM

I can't figure out why the same pegwarmers keep getting into these refresher waves, and none of the htf guys.

Agreed. Where are all the Hulk/Cyclops and Hawkeye/Piledriver packs?!?

D00MTR0N 11-15-2011 09:46 PM

thats key in this hobby, being able to recognize impulse buys.

DogFashionDisco 11-15-2011 10:12 PM

Since a few of you think it is reasonable to pay $100 for this figure, can someone buy me one too? I'd appreciate it. :)

LORD MARVEL 11-15-2011 10:29 PM

so pete what was the total for Vision?? i was going to buy one $65 shipped loose but someone beat me to it

Tiberius 11-15-2011 10:31 PM

I just want either one to destroy and make a new one with the new Mr Fantastic mold.

afgoosett 11-15-2011 10:36 PM

IDK if you bought it yet or not but i didn't feel like reading all the way through call me lazy if you want. Just adding my two cent.

Get the clear version because the colored one is using the original costume. The current vision has a much more streamlined look. With the phasing version you can't really tell what his costume minus a few details. So if you plan on displaying him in a modern Avengers lineup go with the clear. Now if you plan on displaying him in a classic line up with other characters in their older costumes as well then go with the colored one.

It WAS. Meaning you got it?

Peteparker 11-15-2011 10:39 PM

Nah, I missed it. You all helped calm the hype.

I'm about to go on a road trip specifically for hunting, so it should help me get over not having a colored Vision on it's way to me.

Tiberius 11-15-2011 10:41 PM

Let me know if you find a reg vision for cost+shipping for I can improve him 10 fold.
