If it was revealed that Superboy would be sporting the black tee I would be all over this, but as it stands I am on the fence. Getting new DCUC in general is pretty exciting though, hopefully this is just round 1 like they did with Bats and GL, which would suggest a strong possibility for some other Superman characters that have been missed....

but then again comparing it to the Batman:Legacy line which was mostly repaints....

I just really want a Lois figure. Hey at least they didn't include yet another Superman in this wave.

1987olds442 12-02-2011 10:58 PM

I was just thinking of another update for the Eradicator besides a clear visor would be to make his cape softer like on El Dorado.

kenm2474 12-02-2011 11:21 PM

I was hoping that we would get a C&C Doomsday out of this but with Doomsday being one of the figures included I am starting to doubt that. I hope I am wrong. I per-orderd the set but will cancel if I don't see improvements on a few of the figures included.

iLegends73 12-03-2011 12:21 AM

i got all those supes incarnations already. i already know doomsday wont but larger. he's goin to be the DCSH reuse so im not getting it

Ezilla82 12-03-2011 12:09 PM

I don't know about buying the four figures of Superboy, Steel, Eradicator, and Cyborg Superman, but I do know that my eyes are on Doomsday. Because he's a f'n monster and will look good facing against Superman and who knows the Hulk or Abomination. So many possiblities.

dragon 12-03-2011 08:26 PM

ill wait & see for offical images of the figures them selves before i preorder ive been waiting for a decent doomsday figure this could be the one ill get the others if they look good exept maybe superboy

I would do the same for Mongul.

As for Superboy, Cyborg Superman, Eradicator, and Steel all Repaints.... Why not Do Zod, Supergirl, Superwoman (All Star Superman version), Maxima, and A Larger Parasite

Of course, many people noted that the BAF Darkseid was actually out of scale on the "too large" side, and Doomsday in his first appearance(s) was not all that much taller than Superman. More bulky and massive, yes, but only a little bit taller.

As for the other characters...this looks to be basically cheap cash-grab line (barring some surprising resculpts). Maybe if it goes beyond one assortment (basically turning into a "Superman Legacy" line) we might get some of those...except that the females outside of possibly Supergirl are more likely to end up Subscription figures.

Looks like the original BBTS listings have been pulled from the site.

I just got an email from BBTS that Mattel has cancelled the set. That is why they pulled it. Sucks.

miketime 12-05-2011 05:18 PM

Ah that does blow. I still need most of them. You need to go here now MOTUC Update - Toy Discussion at Toyark.com and read Jestermons interpretation of Mattel's business practices. lol

Well that's some ole bullshit. I was looking forward to these figs.

Harbinger 12-06-2011 07:45 AM

damn that would been a nice line. ah well

Optimus Vader 12-06-2011 08:19 AM

That was a short reign.

Huh. Well, I missed out on preordering Doomsday, so I guess if I can't have him, no one can! MWAHAHAHAHAHA!

Okay, seriously though, that sucks. That said, I would want Doomsday done properly. re: CnC size.

I see what you did there...

Crazy Jetty 12-06-2011 02:55 PM

There are a number of factors at play... BBTS may have put up preorders before Mattel had finalized all their plans, since there's not been any official announcement for the line. BBTS has done simular in the past.

As such, the line may not be finished. Just Mattel may have decided to restructure it into Superman Classics, or Superman Legacy, or Superman Allstars.
Hell, for all we know, this Reign line was going to be straight reissues/minor repaints, but Mattel decided to let the DCUC crew have a bigger budget, or felt to make it more contemporary (Than a line based on a 20 year old comic storyline).

Or, it's been flat out cancelled. But I feel, since the line was never officially announced, no need to get depressed. We may see it in a new form, yet.

Shin Densetsu 12-06-2011 03:59 PM

Well that sucks this could've been a kick ass set.

M3T4L V1KING 12-06-2011 04:48 PM

Well, Mattel just loves to ruin my day. Doomsday was probably going to be too small anyways...

If it was just a redeco of the first one then yeah, too small.

Jmacq1 12-06-2011 08:54 PM

Actually....

Eradicator, Steel, Superboy, Cyborg Superman and a new Doomsday would actually be a pretty kick-ass 5-pack for Wal-Mart next year.

Just sayin'...I could see the plans easily shifting in that direction with a set like this.

Enigma2K2 12-07-2011 08:52 AM

Ask Matty's gonna be a little interesting next time...

That would be an awesome way to re-release these five figures, making even the collectors who already have the figures individually more likely to bite on them as a package, IMO.

Or they could just re-release the f***ing things. To review, HOW MANY TIMES have we gotten Batman/Superman again?!?!?

Crazy Jetty 12-08-2011 04:42 PM

Or, they could scrap the doomsday reissue altogether and make it a subscription oversized figure, and make two twopacks of the others. Superboy vs Cyborg Superman, and Steel vs Eradicator.

Good Stuff 12-14-2011 05:37 PM

I'm a little late on commenting here, but man I was really looking forward to this wave...so sad.
