I suppose that can be true, lol. I'll preorder an entire DCUC wave, when I can afford it, and just absorb the figures that don't appeal to me (So long as there are enough in it I do want)

HawaiiNOKAOI 02-16-2012 10:15 PM

Darn, that is a steal! Damn, I just dropped quite a lot on Batman figures alone this past week :( Gotta start saving again.

I find a lot of DC items have a higher retail price as in DCU figures then marvel figures, and with the limited articulation they have to make up for sculpt and paint, so not many qc issues make happy campers who are willing to share their $$ for goodies, but when it comes to Marvel there's tons of qc issues and typically cheaper figures so we want to skimp and pinch and save on figures to justify buying it, aka the $2 cap figures lol.

well speaking for myself yeah allot of the times i pay allot for my figures but i enjoy it but allot of the marvel figures ive come accross are affordable man i love marvel select and the prices on that line pretty much stays the same i bought a deadpool this yr for 20 dollars and it came out over a yr ago now dc sometimes is a different story it seems like some of the figures double in price in a yr. and even though it bites me in the ass i still have this conpulsion to buy it plus like u i live in an area with a limited market for certain lines

I wonder who has done that?

I try to set limits on my DCUC I pulled the superpowers version of Stepphenwolf off my Amazon cart list because the seller Jacked the price up over 3 dollars because someone else asked a little more but I'll go Collectable on the Red & Green versions because he has no C&C peice anyway. Im still going for Shark new (I need Kilowog's leg). But I also Paid 107$ for Gentleman Ghost of wave 8 (worth it). After that Im moving up to my missing wave 14 Obsidian, Gold, and Hourman all something around 30-40$ new. I can live without the stands for the wave 6,7,8,9, and 14. I would say it's not being cheap it's being thrifty. I do that in Everything I can to save a penney I buy store brand sodas (Walmrt has 2 liters for 0.86$, and Banquet Dinners 0.89$ for work to save a penny, But that is the economy with the extra I go for my figures :)

JonnyVu 02-17-2012 01:49 PM

I just picked up DCUC wave 13 cyclone for $1.30 at winners... awesomeness

Pretty cheap prices for Arkham Asylum Series 1 figures. The Joker is sold out though and I don't know how much shipping will cost.

HawaiiNOKAOI 02-17-2012 09:04 PM

Grab em' while you can! Last time I contacted the seller on Tuesday, he had 6 Batman, 2 Harley, and 4 Scarecrow figures left.

I take it there moc then

darksied2012 02-17-2012 09:23 PM

thank you for the site. I'm going to buy the harley quinn I missed out on her when she first came out

Blastbull 02-17-2012 11:08 PM

Holy hell! those prices are awesome amazing find! Still need a scarecrow but going to pass for now. Happy I got my Harley for 22$ but I could have gotten her cheaper!! who would have known

Blastbull 02-17-2012 11:11 PM

Damn.... its 16$ shipping that's almost as much as the figure itself. So if you're gonna get scarecrow you can get him cheaper on Ebay. The Batman is 34$ total so still a little better than anywhere else. The Harley is a must have though!!!

CMIII 02-18-2012 06:07 AM

There is a guy on eBay selling just the Shark figure for about $9 with free shipping. The figure unopened with the Kilowog piece is going to cost you about $20-30 though.

....Feast your eyes on this bounty my brothers (and sisters..if there are any, lol) ;D

....Needless to say that a happy camper is me :D

All the Star Wars figures (except for single card Mace Windu) came from Target, the arena 2-pack was $5 and Obi-Wan and the Battle Droids were each $2.

...Then I saw that one of the local grocery stores called "Smith's" is in the middle of a HUGE storewide remodel so they had a ton of stuff on sale, including the toy section so from them I got a lot of great stuff.

And in case anyone is interested, I haven't opened Superboy or Bucky Cap yet so if anyone wants to buy or trade for them just let me know. :)

CMIII 02-18-2012 12:34 PM

I paid less then 20$ off Amazon for Shark :) something around $13.50 without S&H

SO JEALOUS OF THAT RIDDLER. I have no riddlers in my collection and have been looking at the old DCUC ones but decided ill just wait till April 25th for that spiffy new DC Direct Riddler.

Going old school, I found a MOC Rapid Attack Batman from the Mask of the Phantasm Series by Kenner for $10 today at my LCS. One of the reason why Batman is my favorite superhero is because of the Animated Series. I loved watching that show when I was a kid!

I went to a local Wal-Mart on Thursday and picked up the ROTJ vintage four pack for $12 and a vintage Stormtrooper for $4. There was so much SW stuff on clearance it took me like 15 minutes to decide on what to get.

Sorry I didn't notice this was in the DC discussion section. I haven't had any luck with DC in a good while.

batsfan 02-18-2012 10:06 PM
