i think this maybe the main reason why they arent out yet

Snowflakian 02-28-2012 01:19 PM

It's just pushed back. As Toy Fair showed, the comic packs aren't canceled.
This one is just one of those that didn't fit the need for the toy fair since toy fair was about appeasing retailers. So the push was more on retailer recognizability like ironman.

The pack should be inbetween adam warlock's and before ironman and mandarin(along with colossus juggernaut). If anything it may just get pushed back and slotted in after the ironman and wolverine ones.

It'd be rare if a CP was canceled by itself, and it can't be because of ML either. Otherwise the entire comic pack line would be canceled which we've seen proof of it hasn't been at toy fair.

Shin Densetsu 02-28-2012 01:27 PM

I don't want this pack, unless they use the NEW Daredevil buck!

2 words. they start with an M, and an L

Yes...definitely the work of the Mandarin and Loki.

Those bastards.

For which one? ny man never had that kinda build (any of the three) and I've mentioned the problems with doing Moonie that way- he'd need a new head and hood ar the minimum.

Really, just for fun, stick the MK head on the Rogers body...it's pretty funny.

I doubt anything is cancelled- like Wave 18, it's all moved back while the Avengers line hogs the pegs.

Or Scarlet Spider. Either way I still have a feeling this is why it was canceled/postponed.

Moony's always been quite built though, he was a mercenary and a marine. That's gotta say something about his build.

Jason Abbadon 02-28-2012 04:45 PM

Yeah, I was referring to the Ant Man build.
Here's my MK custom vs. the MU version-
http://pic90.picturetrail.com/VOL221.../400224330.jpg

See how tiny the MU head is, even on the original body? With each comic pack we usually get one new and one repaint figure- with the Samuari set being all new and the First Class set being all repaint, cancelling each other out.

Here we'd get one new (AM) and one repaint (MK).

It'll come out eventually, exactly as we've seen it at SDCC...

I have forseen it.

Technically it is listed as a Secret Avengers Ant Man, which would make it Eric O'Grady (although Pym did just join the team too)... HOWEVER, the figure design is an amalgamation of a few Ant Man costumes and the ones used were only worn by Pym.

Below I will attach first the Hank Pym Ant Man, then the Ultimate Hank Pym Ant Man, then Eric O'Grady Ant Man, and finally the figure, which you will see is the regular Ant Man body with the ultimate head... Which is kinda the best possible thing they could have done!

Jason Abbadon 02-28-2012 05:08 PM

Give him a set of Darkhawk shoulder pads and some freakin antenna and he'll be perfect for O'Grady.

CLASSIFIED 02-28-2012 05:59 PM

No, but Bossum Buddies was, much to Peter Scolari's shagrin.

Tiberius 02-28-2012 06:04 PM

Holy crap, I never noticed the articulation on Ant-Man! WAAAAAAAAAAAANT.

Scarlett Spider body- good choice for that....and the head can pop off to go onto a Captain Marvel body for a custom Scott Lang version.

Tiberius 02-28-2012 09:32 PM

So do we know if the Helmet is removable?

LORD MARVEL 02-28-2012 09:39 PM

the release date was sept. 2011??? wtf...

Tiberius 02-28-2012 09:42 PM

HAHAHAHAHA I know eh, that is funny stuff.

That's a really cool custom, might have to take some influence from that! :)

When I saw it up close at NYCC, it did not look removable.

It was their Acts Of Vengance for their figures not seeing the light of day at retail

Thanks- there's a thread in the Customs section with more pics and a parts breakdown.
Pretty easy to do for the returrn, actually....but it really drives home how much the scale has crept up in the past year or so.
It also underscores just how bad that old MK was! No forearm or shin armor at all- not even painted on! Moonie always has something!
