Ok, now that I got all my Bay/TF jokes out of the way, I'll say what I really think. While I don't agree with the idea at all ("if it ain't broke", and all that), I will at least wait until we hear more details about it before deciding if I want to watch it or not. Who knows, maybe Bay's finally perfecting his "misinformation campaign." ;)

...ok, so I had one more joke left. Sue me.

DogFashionDisco 03-22-2012 09:09 AM

Is Corey Feldman in this one?

One thing I know for certain is that I will watch this regardless. Otherwise, I can't bash it with full integrity if it turns out terrible ;)

Nope. He's busy working on The Lost Boys part 3. hahaha

Tiberius 03-22-2012 10:00 AM

You know, at this rate you may as well make Casey Jones Canadian. That would turn everyones world upside down!

Sound off fellow Arkers!

I thought the new acronym was
Teenage
Alien
Immigrant
Ninja
Turtles

Only in Alabama and Arizona ;)

Exodus 03-22-2012 10:25 AM

I'll watch it for entertainment value only, although we can always go back to the first TMNT movie and just watch that for pure live action childhood bliss. But it would be awesome if everyone, and I mean everyone did not go to watch it and have it flop on MB, than the studios would start to listen to the die hard fans, but alas that probably won't happen.

Optimus Vader 03-22-2012 01:39 PM

They should cast Christopher Meloni from CSI: SVU to play Casey.. he'd be like a spitting image of the dude who played him in the 90's.

Crazy Jetty 03-22-2012 03:40 PM

I learned never trust a damned word Bay says. He was still claiming Megatron was not in RotF, even after the movie finally premiered. Bay's proven time and again he lies, intentionally. And when he's not, he's also proven he really doesn't understand what he's talking about.

At least he's a non-figure on this. So at least we won't have Michael Bay's Bayman and Baiard's Teenaged Mutant Ninja Turtles. Only with aliens.

I had to think about dude's real name for a minute before I recalled that they weren't the same guy :)

Oh, you mean this guy? I'd be cool with that.

Did Battleship come and go already?

Greenskar 03-22-2012 07:18 PM

That's been test screened with us Arkers for months- it's just under the working name "Ask Hasbro".;)

So far...very negative reviews.

That explains the "ask me later" type responses :p

LXL_Guy 03-22-2012 09:42 PM

I don't see why all the unnecessary rage. It just adds more to their ever growing multi-verse in terms of the various turtles. So I'll accept whatever we're in store for.

Well, for one, I'm not punching people in the face because of this so I wouldn't call it rage.

It's definitely disconcerting that the "Mutant" aspect of a franchise called "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" is being "rumored" to be altered into something that is Alien.

Like I said, if they want them to be some Alien beings that shipwrecked and change form into a humanoid creature based off of the first living organism (turtle) they come in contact with then sure. As long as they keep the Ninja aspect being learned from Splinter and he remains a rat, I think I'll be happier.

Otherwise, you might as well be ok with Superman not having an "S" on his chest in the next movie costume as far as I'm concerned.

trebleshot 03-23-2012 06:00 AM

Still not sure whether I want to watch this or not, but I'm starting to lean towards yes.

Nope. Theatrical release date for North America is May 18th.

And I don't think any movie version of the Turtles can be as bad as a movie based on a board game.

...except for Venus de Milo, of course.

What´s wrong with this freaking sodomite!!!
As if it wasn´t enough to destroy the transformers franchise (in my humble opinion), now he is going to destroy my favorite heroes.
Hell I won´t pay to watch that movie, I hope everyone just "pirate" the whole thing.
Worst thing, is that even if it is a horrible movie, we will all end buying the figures XD.
And no I am not a Bay hater, just that this time he really touched a sensitive point.

By the way... a bit off comment but worth asking. My 8-ball is turning blurry, anyone has any idea if this can be fixed or is it easier to just buy a new one?

The sodomite touched your sensitive point? No wonder you're upset!

That's the guy. He's played a lot of goofy parts like that. He was also Freakshow in Harold & Kumar/White Castle. I like him, but also think he looks just like the actor who played Casey back in the 90's.

He was also a main character on Oz, which is actually a great show if you can get past all the man ass... and also stars J. Jonah Jameson.
