Ironman revos....
II and III are the same but with different paint jobs, and if you already have a decent looking ironman figure that you like better don't get it. If it turns out you don't and you want a definitive Ironman, decide which color you like better, think a bit on this.

Mr. Incredible is cool, and is from a cool movie, but do you actually want a pixar guy on your shelf? Are you really that much of a fan of their movies to warrant that choice?

Your words are deep and give us plenty to think about.

Fine then I'll quote you. Our little hole in the wall forum is growing, mostly due in part to that which brought us here.

I know what it is and you know what it is.

This means we're going to continue to get an influx of members...some as great as the few that stuck with us from the beginning, and some who are as foul as rancid milk.

We simply have to try to make the best of it and keep going on, or quit and take the light we brought with us.

SYMBIOTE I've found that I never regretted building the kits, but I've always regretted buying them. I never painted or sanded them, so they were always plain, and it reminded me of all my unfinished projects. So I believe if you're willing to put some serious time in to build them, as well as paint and sand...go for it.

Edit: I've just read your previous response...you don't need to thank me, heh heh! I'm here to help! Thanks for the kind words my friend!

Yes but which one? Are there not 17 million different model kits?

Tiberius 04-20-2012 12:01 AM

Well what do you like? I am really enjoying Gundam stuff right now so my vote goes for any of them.

SH0CKWAVE 04-20-2012 12:03 AM

all this old school vs new school chatter is way off topic and not necessarily serving the best interest of the OP's impetus.

i know everyone wants to be heard and online forums are like open mic night at your local dive, but come on guys...

i'm sure Symbiote appreciates the traffic on his new thread, but i know underneath it all he'd like for the TOPIC to take precedence.

I'd agree with shockwave here, vehicles usually clearance anyway, and if not are found a bit later for thrift prices...and if that fails buying them off a forum member liquidating his collection for dirt cheap works too!

here's one:

MU Astral Doctor Strange MOC for $30.

should i get it?!?!!

That's a hell of a question, see think about the cooler harder to get variants, like Death Angel or Havok. They climbed in value after it became apparent they wouldn't rerelease the variants anytime soon, and it certainly didn't take long. However there's always the possibility it'll be rereleased. Though looking at it now and at similar legends releases, I doubt they'll be reissued. I'd say bite the bullet if you think it's value will hold, and if you're really into the figure, and character of Dr.Strange

Haven't pulled the trigger yet, should I?!?!

Same advice I posted to Symbiote..If you're going to go all the way then yes.

Tiberius 04-20-2012 12:14 AM

I plan too. Should be tons of fun!

We have never done that and probably never will just because if we tried painting it we would probably ruin it. the only thing we have done is sand down the parts of the pieces where they broke off of the parts holder thingie(WTF is that even called)

Whoa... plastic crack indeed...

It only takes ten exclusives with money you don't have to get there.

The japanese toy market is a cruel mistress indeed.

This is why I always try to think rationally and carefully about every future purchase.
Tamashii web has shown that with my gundams. I have to buy sparingly and*think very carefully if I'm going to keep it long term, and if I'm going to enjoy it years from now.

One in particular has lost it's veneer.
Do you guys have any experience with d arts? What is the quality of their releases, specifically megaman.

Tiberius 04-20-2012 12:31 AM

I hear great things from Youtube reviews. Nothing first hand though.

Yeah, I've found
Robot damashii=figuarts=d-arts=figma

At least in pricing, so it's best to concentrate and pick what you really like, and not what you sort of like, but are unsure of getting. You'll be fine man!

Tiberius, thanks for the info, I've heard similar but I've also heard horror stories.

I recently made the mistake of buying figuarts myself. The DBZ line is just to amazing. But yeah D-arts and Figuarts are literally one in the same.

TheSymbiote 04-20-2012 12:59 AM

We need a suggestion.............Gundam........Under $25 with shipping included...............looks awesome......................GO!

Yeah its weird. My vegeta (signed by chris sabat btw) has a F'ed up shoulder joint, Piccolo is started to feel the same, and ss3 goku's hair keeps popping out of the socket. Yet in continue to collect :mad2

But to anyone in doubt of Japanese stuff like figuarts. You won't ever regret it. Just be ready to drop stacks.

Aye got lucky with a damashii purchase "scored" an exclusive for close to 85$ , bastards sold recently for 105$ That gives you an idea of how quickly their prices soar. I love using it as an example of their insane price climbs, though.

Then there's the Galahad, thing started at 90$ it's not 330$ it's giant, but not near worth that much.

Symbiote, which gundam is 25$ is it a damashii?

rodimus15 04-20-2012 01:43 AM

Yeah the thing with the japanese stuff is they're price but if you ever want to get rid of them. You can easily make your money back.

So I was thinking about getting this bad boy
ZERO
But I'd want a megaman to go with it. But full armor and sdcc just look meh to me. And lord know im not paying for and original release x. thoughts?
